RPM 2.0, the sequel of RPM 0.78, has been released. It is already accepted by FairPlay.

You can find list a list of updates after RPM 0.78 at rpm2k3.com. For a detailed list of updates after RPM 0.789, you can refer to this thread. I decided to call this final version RPM 2.0 since it's the second major release.

Unless a major bug is discovered, this is the final version of RPM 2.0. No more suggestions are accepted. Older mod versions such as RPM 0.789 will be blocked by FairPlay soon. Therefore, please encourage your friends to download this mod! Simply tell them to go to rpm2k3.com. Thanks for helping out!

I'm thinking of spamming players who run an older mod version (server side). I'm not sure though, since RPMPro had this as well, and it was extremely annoying. It may just be better to block the older versions with FP in like one or two weeks, depending on how fast players update their mods.

is it possible that rpm 2,0 is blocked with fp? i dled the rpm putted in RPM directory and i open fp, but the rpm is .ZZZ file..

It's allowed by FP. I've just checked, and it works for me. Try to re-download it from rpm2k3.com (try the manual install and the automatic install). If that doesn't work, please PM me.

Edit: I've just PMed shifty to block some older RPM versions which have the hitsound (RPM 0784 client beta v3.pk3, RPM 0784 client beta v4.pk3 and RPM 0.785 beta v4.pk3). If you are running one of these versions, you should update to RPM 2.0.

Since some players are still reluctant to update their RPM, I've created the most annoying message ever for them:



It also comes with an annoying beeping sound for 5 seconds. It will be announced every 2 minutes, but only to players who have a RPM version between 0.78 and 0.79. Hopefully that'll make them update. These annoying messages are disabled during competition mode, for what it's worth.

Edit: version 0.785 and 0.786 are now blocked by FairPlay.

Mainly because of the automatic demo recording during competition mode. Players who still run 0.78 have to update in order to access this feature. There's also the hitsound in older beta versions, which has been blocked by FP now. Gotta make sure that these players update to RPM 2.0.

Also, it's the final version. Having everyone update gives them access to all new features.

Not much has changed since version 0.788, but might as well make versions 0.788 and 0.789 update too.

Yes I mind, you shouldn't copy it, and I'll tell you why. The gfx/menus/crosshairs/ch5.png file is only used for the menu crosshair selection. It is not perfectly centered. The cgame doesn't draw it on your screen, instead it draws exact centered pixels depending on your crosshair size.

You can't use that method for demo. Instead you can just replace an existing crosshair image with a square crosshair image.
