imagine, shop 1 inf, 5v5
just make main not so white
make the scope have an option for that red dot.pk3... always wished that thing worked with FP
and then make a game mode called Gold
-with Z-block off (gold jumps)
-slightly less old school graphics
-mp_jor1 CTF
-6v6
-with a more pleasing lean
I honestly think if someone revamped the game with today's game design skills, it'd take something as simple as netboss saying I'll give $20 to the winning team,
a full blown esport would be born
all the great players would come back
for the love of the game
and then everyone else would see they're already so far behind
there's already something here
this thing already has a foundation
and it'd take anyone a lifetime to catch up
so i think it'd honestly become something people just want to watch
and be fascinated by
the way we watch professional sports
I bet they'd like to play after they'd seen how beautiful the game can be, no need to turn for flashes, 5 second skillful frag and fire grenades, pure aim no sprays, 2 tap for headshots, xxilllaxx and priest POV,
we could literally show the game to the world
like a story mode
where like,
first we show $nugg,
only 1 POV per night.
then next night
XillaX
then next, PriesT`
then camper
freestyle
mathieu
prsk
azzy
shifty
yoshi
zippa
ambush if he wants to
farlig
then reflex
zioni
bornova
rocket
then we'd decide alright, it's your turn
and I'd agree,
alright I won't be a dickhead whipping the mouse too fast
I'll actually play like someone is in spec
[T]he[G]reat[s]peedii
someone who I know can read
the language I encrypt my aim in
that universal
unspoken
unique
way you aim
how well you see through walls
and sense where enemies are
and sync with teammates flawlessly
the way we'd have coordinated pushes
better than any other FPS game ever
because it wasn't CoD, campers and scorewhores didn't win
cs may have been more artistic
more, prestigious
pretentious
but the whole having to stand completely still to shoot thing, it made it so it required a different kind of spacing
and I don't believe it's better to watch, without even factoring in the way having to dodge flashes ruins the gameplay.
plus the evolution of their game didn't involve coordinating attacks from 3 different angles, kitchen, pat, and main, with 2 rushing in the main door perfectly in unison, and a 5th coming down small elevator to support.
That's a 5on3 situation that the blue side should never lose if they already got 2 east and cargo kills, but if you bunker down perfectly, use the benches, the pillars, maybe even the podium, then reflex amplify and skoko could win that. c1 prsk and maly could win that. seych, zippa, and Dena could win that. gzuz, rad, and someone could win that.
that was literally what we did every day.
and we had these AMAZING plays. There'd be like 20 of them per game, and no boring eco rounds in between... no long buy periods.
every single round
way more fulfilling than almost anything we get in esports today.
just beautiful teamplay.
every single round still entirely different, no 2 jazz solos exactly the same
i like cs, but some things counterstrike did,
it made this entirely caged game between lanes
sof2 had no limit
the demo was literally a perfect forum for the best players to be found
lum!naire
shined like a pro, crystal clear, the first time I saw him play in a public server, going 30/0 in 2004
even if demo had
with some glitches here and there but,
even though there was some room for improvement, it was still a perfectly fair arena to compete in, the true skill of these type of games we alll love, would always rise to the top.
what everyone who loves fps games has been searching for, and just settling for the thing that comes closest to it at the time.
sof4: quad-|)imension could be a pure test of pc skill
any great 5v5 player
from cs
valorant
whatever
could walk in and own
but i bet at first people would just be fascinated to watch the best players play against each other
they'd just want to mess around in a new FREE fps game,
so they can jump in an INF public server like Notag, Dad's, Distort™ Gaming, The Zoo, ShiftTM Gaming,
-={The Egg}=-, =NuKe=
and we'd explain, what each one is or... nuke is kinda a noob's playground. The egg, the try hard noobs. Dad's and The Zoo and ShiftTM you should expect to see some of the best players in the game warming up for clanwars, waiting for worthy opponents, when you see like 4 pro tags and ask if they have 5.
or practice tdm and play mixes in -GreenRoom- and (what were those legendary polish servs?)for the ones that want to eventually compete, wouldn't need like a matchmaking system like other games
just INF,
TDM,
and CTF
...also caserun was something special... when it first came out, it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen in a video game, I can't explain it unless you were there
but trust me... it was different than whatever you're expecting
felt like a dream
was like an underground hero lore based RPG inside of an FPS... you had everyone and their cousins coming in at the last minute,
like ya there 20-30 random Notag players, but then there was like
ShuTTy
kj
shifty
outKast
Xillax
zioni
stunna
Yoshi
Abu
-=SiK=- Pred
n4p. m4th
n4p. Chrono*
Bigniko
-={A Perfect Circle}=-
hokie
ta|on
ph34r
outy (nick)
w00t
99 cent
probably |TuS| Navyseal
so there was a lot of noobs but also absolute LEGENDS... so even though good players would cut through like 6 or 10, sometimes 30 people with every life, you still had to make a heroic push together as a team to even TOUCH the case, let alone move it 2 feet further
think there might have been 50- 64 people in the server
running the case with like hok, nick, shifty, talon, kj stunna vs abu xillax zioni shutty, APC, Chrono was so damn hard, but literally the best team experience I've ever had in a video game. There was so much revolving around it,
those first few nights were so much fun
had never seen that many people in a server all come together like that, was like battlefield, ages before battlefield... except there was actual teamwork between the ENTIRE team, all the noobs looked up to us like ցօժʂ and followed the charge with hokie/shifty even if they weren't all in Shutty's vent with us
