Hi all, i downloaded the ctf_update.pk3 today, and also the patched sof2mptest.exe. It works, but i also want the gold fp to work, i downloaded it, but i get an error:

You must have CTFMaps.pk3

What is it, and where can i get it?

what map u got it in? Not in mp it must be in demo.

Is it a .pk3 or a .rar file ?

Its in /demo with the assets.pk3 and its a WinRAR-ZIP file :/ (.zip)

I still get the gold fp error: You must have CTFMaps.pk3 from demobase.eu to use this fp.

The problem: my CTFMaps isnt .pk3, its a WinRAR-ZIP file :/ (.zip)

I guess i shouldnt unpack it with WinRAR rite?

Changing its extension to .pk3 also wont work.

Lol winzip/winrar, it's all teh same [not literally]. Just unpack it.

EDIT: would be cool if someone could fix the download link on the avelgem website!

It doesn't for me, I get some random text and it just doesn't load.

rename .zip to .pk3

if it doesn't work, download here:

and rename .zip to .pk3 on that one and it should work 100%

If you open ctf_update.pk3, you should see all kind of different folders (/textures, /models, etc) - dont unpack it, leave it as it is. If you see anything else (such as another ctf_update folder innit) then you prolly messed up somewhere.

But when i start the gold fp, it works, but i cant see the server, the whole serverlist is empt, and also when i close sof then i get this error on the fp screen : your CTFMaps.pk3 is invalid, get a valid one @ db.eu

No, i was mistaken, i saved the CTFMaps.pk3 as .pk3

So the gold fp works, but i cant see servers, and when i close sof, the fp says error: you have an invaled ctfmaps pak <get an invalid one at demobase.eu>

I dont have this problem when playing on normal fp or playing with gold maps w/o the gold fp.

Ah u can close z3h topic. I redownloaded the CTFMaps.pk3 from avelgem this time, didnt get the error of invalid ctfmaps anymore. The server thing was a virusscanner problem. That stupid thing blocked the fairplay to make connection with internet, causes me to see no servers.

Just downloaded that one. Said the CTFMaps.pk3 is invalid.
