Sylt, I've been active as a leader for avelgem a long time (now not as much), and i led 3v together with abu and yoshi too for a while. I think it's safe to say and we all remember it sucked by then, even though we had the same roster.

I never said leading was rocket science, I said some people can really have a positive influence on their clan as a leader and it can make a huge difference.
How would you and the rest of the anti-leader movement explain that we always performed way worse with 3v when Hokie wasn't there? He made sika win those crucial 1onX's. Usually when he's in a crucial 1on1 or 1onx he gets too stressed and manages to accidentally jump off the roof.

Would "growing-in-skill" clans like ros and bro have become as succesful in the past without the leadership that was involved there?

Would c4 have lived this long and got this good without skoko's persistence as a leader in the past?
Would she even be around without Seych to guide everything from the start?
I also know from experience we play worse without Seych, even when he's replaced by a player who's about as equally skillful.

Please argue their the leadership in these examples is of no relevance.

It's also interesting to see that most people agreeing have been in a clan or team themselves that was raised from the ground with a bunch of (more or less) unknowns.

c4 vs nvm FW III final, c4 had about their best line-up and had their messias skoko playing

Please explain, who is this genius behind nvm, who could beat the holy c4 - who had probably on paper one of the best line-up of that era - with a clan that had been formed only a few weeks before the start of the cup. These c4 players have years of experience together and skoko has years of experience in leading like he's the son of god himself, nvm was formed not even a month before the cup was announced. Please enlighten us Snugg, who is this mysterious leader that has been hiding in the darkest alleys of sof2 waiting for the perfect moment to perform a blitzkrieg on c4?!

Actually, Foxdie creates an atmosphere where he makes it feel like nVm is a part of something bigger, some sort of a larger unified movement on a mission that NEEDED to be fulfilled, like c4 HAD to get slapped. Every time.

Foxdie also calms ragers like Zioni down in crucial situations. It's like an instinct for Foxdie and I'm sure he was naturally born with this ability, kind of like animals know what kind of plants can heal them when they are ill. Exactly how he achieved this, whenever he would want, only Foxdie knows.

I'm sure when Foxdie dies, I'm 100 % sure he'll go to the history books as one of the greatest together with Jesus Christ, Muhammed the prophet and Hokie of 3v.

You answered and explained zero of the questions i raised. Instead you bring up 1 single clanwar (nice sample size -> not reliable at all though). I conclude that either you can't or either you don't want to answer my questions. When you can, post something. Untill then I'll stick to my viewpoint that a good leader can make a valuable difference for a clan. Without Skoko, there most probably would be no c4 to discuss in your example

We get it, you're not agreeing with the idea that hokie was a good leader. What personal use does it have for you to constantly keep returning to the subject with a bitterly cynic approach? You're giving off the impression that he did have a pretty large influence on you by doing this.

since you've been praising seych, how many cup victories does seych have since she's comeback? and I've already said, outside a war a leader can make a huge difference, I remember a week full of whine because I flushed some guys and continued with just rocket fleim and azzy, if I hadn't done it starelite would've ended up being a bunch of losers forever, seych decides to continue with inactives, gzuz rejected the idea of teams, their choices, however, once you have 5 players in the server I don't think a leader could do something a regular player couldn't

please explain me in non-messias terms what a leader can bring more than a regular player during a war

Ike, I could write a 3 pages essay about how I still stand behind every choice I made and how Se would get exactly the same line up as when I quit if I would quit my life right now and decide to nolife sof2, but I won't. Just one remark though, because you seem to have misunderstood something, Pals was the only one who had been in Se for years and was the only one who got flushed who I would consider really loyal.

ps, I never named myself among the best leaders, I just spoke for myself because it would be lame if I would use another clan as example and speak for other leaders

yea .|E deserves a mention for me personally for a few months IIRC in late 2008 they were toughest opponent on sof2, tougher than c4. however it didn't coincide with any team cup
