MADRID - Een 92-jarige vrouw is met 4300 gram cocaïne opgepakt op het vliegveld Barajas bij de Spaanse hoofdstad Madrid. Ook de 44-jarige begeleidster van de vrouw is aangehouden.
© ANPDat heeft de Spaanse politie maandag laten weten. De vrouwen waren van de Braziliaanse metropool Sao Paulo naar Spanje gereisd. Ze waren op weg naar het eiland Tenerife.
De 92-jarige vestigde door haar zenuwachtige gedrag de aandacht van politieagenten op zich. Toen de agenten haar wilden aanhouden, deed de vrouw nog een mislukte poging in haar rolstoel te vluchten.

MADRID - A 92-year-old woman in a wheelchair has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of trying to smuggle cocaine worth about £22,000.
She was caught at Madrid's main airport with packages of cocaine attached to her body. The woman attempted to escape with her wheelchair but failed.
A Civil Guard statement said police decided to search the woman and her companion, who arrived at Barajas airport on Friday on a flight from Sao Paulo in Brazil.
