Yo boys i'm suffering from big fps drop on this laptop and i don't know where does it come from.

Here is a picture where i putted some info about my system.






For my config and others stuff i tried to follow the tutorial but that helped me a bit but i'm still have huge fps drop. and it is really really annoying so if someone could help me it would be great.

I got fleim config (becuz it give me good fps) with my own binds. euh, i don't know what information you need actually. I'have fps lag on all game: sof2, cs and cs source and this is +/- the same on source as in cs. so i don't see where can it come from.

that laptop aint for games.. coz ur vista score is 3.7 wich is very low lol .. and games like cs source wont run smoothly

but it should run sof normal with 125 fps with some drops to 50 60..

i got same problem on my laptop. but it wont lag so much at cs 1.6. only at sof fps jumping 40-125 but mostly it is 40-70

Go for windows 7 or XP

no i run 60 fps, not stable at all when i'm moving with highs drops in close fight (fps go often to less than 10), this is quite impossible to play on this laptop. I forgot i posted this here, I just remembered when i saw the post of ethanol.



firefox isn't open neither is limewire when i play sof, I didn't start sof because i have old fp on this laptop.
Of course it isn't a gamer laptop, but sof2 is pretty old and it should handle it with 3,7 lol which I thought was pretty good

atleast my brother's PC became faster when he installed 7 . He had vista.

What resolution do you use in sof?

You have a lot of processes running there. Disable unnecessary startup programs. Also noticed that your ad-aware is taking a lot of cpu time. Going for W7 would probably give you a few extra fps. If your fps did boost significantly it wouldn't be because of your operating system but because you wouldn't have all that rubbish running in the background on your fresh OS.

true. 64 processes - PC usage 99% ( not good ) - memory usage 59%

if i got it right, you have 4 gb ram and ur using an 32 bit system.

a 32 bit system uses max 2gb of ur ram capicity, 64 bit system will use all of ur ram.

i'd reinstall your laptop (dont install useless crap)

and go for windows 7 64 bit (home / pro )



note: dont forget to backup ur important files ( SOF OFCOURSE LOL)

oh thanks for the reply, I completly forgot to check it since I'm playing on my mother's laptop. Yeah it might be because a bad installation..
But some people on another forum told me that my graphic card wasn't good, with the kind of processor I have, but since they don't know sof very good, I'm not trusting them a lot and I rather believe people from here.

So Well I could go for an installation of Windows 7 as you said then .. even if it is a bit annoying because I prefer vista a lot. (easier & security)
Also how can I install windows 7 if I don't have the cd for it :/ Hackzors

I also managed to go to like 70 fps (some of you will thinks it's high but no, it isn't, since it is non stable AT ALL). anyway, thanks for the help
