i wanna know what every 1 thinks about fairplay.

i think its good to try and make such program.
but i still don't trust it becouse i don't know what it can do and can they come on my pc by it.
it makes my sof go lagg like crazy and it never gets solved on updates.
only people with a decent pc can use it but here it gives to much conflicts.

to be clear, fp crew is doing a goodjob but it doesn't work that good atm.

I really appreciate the work the guys are doing on the subject fairplay. To be honest it made me comeback to sof since in the early years there where A LOT cheaters. But this newest version of fairplay is slightly more instable than the one before that. It makes me lag a bit... That why i voted "good solution but to instable".
I really hope that will be fixed on the new release!

The options you've mentioned are not good enough for me to chose, I'd rather say:

- It works good but it can be better.

A lot of work has been putted in there which we could never dream off like some years ago. But some people mentioned some suggestions but it still doesn't work, so let's hope the new versions get the suggestions including.

- If you exec another CFG meanwhile playing in a server and then someone says '@fp' in the server, you see left above at echo like a bug 'outfit: Sniper' or another echo that is in one of the CFG's.

- There is a lot of lag now in the begin if you start sof, but you will fix that so that's not really a big deal.

- There is nothing written in the DOS-window about if you start fp that you can press SHIFT to fill in a player's GUID. You can only know by searching this forum or the fp-site, to be more clear; the interface of that DOS-window can be better and more clear. Does it improve fp it's function? No, but it's more clear for all

- If you change another resolution in the menu, r_subdivisions automaticly changes with it which include that fp will shut down if you enter a server and you must open sof first without fp to change r_subdivisions again. This is annoying, changing r_subdivisions at the same time in the menu with fp on while you change the resolution is possible, but the point is that then bug 1 appears what I mentioned (that you see another echo when people say @fp and/or I'm not on the @check-list (nowadays the SCROLL-LOCK-list).

- If you close fp meanwhile it was still running (for example if you quit sof but you still see the DOS-window of fp), then all .pk3 files are named .zzz. That means you must rename them all manually again to .pk3 if you want to play sof without fp (I think with fp also, but it could be in the newer versions this is fixed that you can turn fp on and fp knows that .zzz is already .zzz and it doesn't have to convert .pk3 to .zzz anymore).

- You have to PM you or Shifty to enable playing on a new map, which should be automaticly. Like a system where Fairplay can accept .bsp files.

- If you do in console 'fp_vertexlight 1', you can apply there like 'fp_vertexlight will be enabled upon restarting'. This one is kinda lame to mention since it's a little detail, but I still didn't know in the begin lol, I thought it didn't work
