New gameplay / Classes Mod

Hi,
We're (1fx.) are currently looking to develop another Mod, one which will sort-of change the whole gameplay and hopefully provide much richer gameplay.
We're looking into a class system, much like other class-based games out there, including Team Fortress 2, Wolfenstein ET (however much more advanced then that game).
Looking to provide different classes (Medic, Scout, Assualt and such) and upgradeable/new weapons (each class gets it's own weapons and own damage values etc), new gadgets (instead of nades, however these are included), XP system (which won't get cleared during disconnect) and hopefully many more new and exciting features.
We've already did a test run (very basic though), with some classes and different weapons and this was loads of fun. A match generally is much more advanced, and MUCH more team based, because a near-dead player draws back from the front line and calls for help from a Medic, etc. This increases not only the match time (5 minutes is not enough, no way) but as I've experienced, also the fun and re-play value the game gets. Each player has it's own team-role to play. If a user doesn't wish to play that type of role, they can always switch.

Is there any website or something talking about the mod status?
At least to see what are the ideas already in development, so that other people can contribute with new ones.
And also to keep track of the mod status and it's alpha, beta and RC versions to try it out.

@ Jumper, we were more thinking about totally new weapons to the game. There's been an idea of a flare gun though, to alert nearby medics for help.
@ Vega, The official forums are 1fx.ipbfree.com, all the development stuff is there (including when an alpha or beta is launching).
@ Zippa, will do, as we continue developing more defined details will be posted.

A new story mode would be cool!
Plus making missions so that clans could complete them together would be awesome. To elaborate on this idea if you have heard of the game Combat Arms made by Nexon, have a gametype that a group of players complete missions and etc. It would make SoF2 whole new game by adding this sort of gametype, and grow the SoF2 community.
