Ever heard of bots that search through websites & forums for e-mail addresses that spammers can use for spamming? If you really want to publish your e-mail address, then you should crypt it somehow so the bots don't get your real address e.g. myaddressDELEEEETEEE@email.com

Biggest spambot shit is found after registering for wow.. never play that shitty game.. not only is it expensive and does it suck.. you'll also get approx. 5 to 10 spam mails a day.
