Heya,
I've got a new pc and installed sof.. It wont work, when i start sof2 mp, windows says it stopped working cause of a problem and that it will notify me if it has found a solution. Then it shuts down. The message appears when Sof has the black screen and says: Loading...
Ofcourse I've searched on the internet and I tried some things already:
- Installed DirectX 9 (cause 11 is default on windows 7). It didn't help.
- Also i tried to rightclick sof2mp.exe and change the compatibility to Windows XP SP2 or SP3. Both don't work either..
- Because I re-installed the new pc, I've installed the latest video drivers for my graphics card.
Also fp didn't work, it loaded till 100% and told me error: check error.txt or something..
Is there anyone who had or has the same problem?

check this forum, there are a few solutions allready for this comon problem.

Maybe handy to know. I've got the Ati Radeon HD 5770 (with the latest driver).
* It's still not fixed though. Format wont help ofcourse. And the link didn't bring me that far tbh :$

use older catalyst(10.3 or so) or check the topic yankowhich made for opengl fix, its one of the stickies.

Allright, i've downloaded atioglxx.dll from yankowich topic. I'll try to put it in my sof folder tonight and see what happens :> Thanks for your suggestion because I'd like to keep the latest drivers ofcourse..

Allright, I've putted the atioglxx.dll in my sof folder. Right after that i started SOF2 MP and YAY! it worked. But as soon as i connected to the MDK server, it kicked me because of:
Server disconnected: Unpure client detected. Invalid .PK3 files referenced!
Also when i started fairplay, from the same folder. It tells me:
error an error occured, check error.txt for details
I had the fairplay error already before i putted atioglxx.dll in my sof folder, but does anyone know what's in my way? I have no clue where to find error.txt either..
..Run as admin does the trick to prevent the fairplay error, ive looked it up somewhere in a topic.

About the unpure: try to put rpm in the folder
About the fp error: read the error.txt and look the error up in the FAQ!
Ill try to install RPM, forgot to do that yeah. Nowhere on the pc I can find error.txt. But when i rightclick FP on my dekstop, and run it as admin (while I am admin already..) It just works, I've looked that up in the FAQ. I could copy the SOF folder to my desktop aswell but I might change some stuff with the UAC.
I'll try to install RPM and ill let ya know!OT:
