Hi there, I've started playing 1.00 again but it seems like people really want you to use fairplay, so I searched it, isntalled it but then i get that problem in the title.
Then I've done the HOSTS part and FIREWALL part but both failed, this is what i get in the error log

I ain't using proxy , but I do see my firefox changing automaticly to proxy but i change it back then , any suggestiosn?

open up internet explorer > tools > internet options > connections tab > lan settings > untick use proxy

did you try this anyway to see if its ticked?

yes, I did the hosts thing + enable it to my firewall and uncheck the proxy things in internet explorer and firefox

* As I told before I have did the HOSTS thing (add the line ...)
* I added fairplay.exe to my firewall
* I tried changing my exe name but still the same error

pretty weird actually...

what line did you add to hosts?

you might have spyware/virus/something hijacking the connection

I added this 127.0.0.1 caserun.com

and I'll do a scan in a few minutes

take the line out from hosts and it should work

thanks it worked, but now my minimizer doesnt work anymore, I guess I'll have to find another one then.

You can also set it to use a key of your own choice. To do this simply open the sof2 console(while using fairplay) and type "/fp_minimize <key>".

Replace <key> with any letter, number, function button(f1-f12), numpad key(using sof2 names: KP_MINUS, KP_5 etc).

For example, to use f12, just type /fp_minimize "f12".

same kind of problem...


tried the internet explorer proxy thing... it is unchecked...

also when i try to move it to the desktop it says "cannot connect to the fairplay server" and i have allowed it in the firewall settings for windows...
