Yeah it's great before the game to check if server is doing OK or not.

Other than that it's just a distraction. What's the biggest distraction if you get a packet loss? Seeing it or the packet loss itself? You probably wouldn't even notice them if you didn't have the lagometer visible. Having it visible wouldn't help anything, except that you would have a reason to whine on mumble "omfg what a kankerlucker i had lag".

Distraction is distraction and I don't even agree that it's a small one. It's quite a big box, plus its hiding your vision (perhaps 1/20th of the screen), just like drawgun which also become unnecessary after you've learned the weapon timings.

For example when watching cargo from helipad/tin and concentrating to spot any moving pixel, I'd like my pixels to not move.

Even if you think it's a small distraction, I don't understand how you possibly can find anything positive with it. It's simply one of the small thing that adds up to a worse gameplay

im not fully agreeing with some things u said, playing with lagometer on has never bothered me and it probably never will

yes i would, when u have constant packet loss it will result in unstable fps which is easily noticeable

this, however, is true. from my experience its alot easier to focus on aiming when u can only see ur crosshair. i just never took my time to get used to it so im still playing with drawgun 1

i never said it helps improving ur gameplay or anything, i rather have it on 24/7 so i dont have to toggle it on/off whenever i think im laggin. theres no use discussing this tho, after all its about personal preference..
