yo
I got a Toshiba LED display the other day, its full HD1080p all that if its relevant. Basically I've been just using it as a display for my PC, until i get some sort of console or something. I've been using the normal HDMI port, however here's the problem:
Now when I use the HDMI, my pc won't connect as an alternate display, aka "dualview". All it will do now is simply "Clone" the two screens, this is annoying for watching movies or something, to have em on both screens, plus I already have overheating problems with my PC and this seems to make it worse, also the video tends to be more choppy.
I want it just as a simple output in dualview not a clone. Now when I select dualview (in NVidia CP) it simply re-refreshes (after the original refresh when you change settings) and then goes back to clone mode, or sometiems just turns the display off completely.
so im like... dafuq..
please help gents would be much appreciated

So it's a laptop you're talking about?
This sounds like a driver issue to me, maybe just a bug. If I were you, I would go to the laptop's manufacturer's website and download the correct graphics driver from there. Then I'd uninstall the old driver and install the new one.

well can i still rollback the drivers in case it fucks everything up? since im downloading directly from the website and uninstalling the old one instead of just updating through the control panel? This sounds like a driver issue to me, maybe just a bug.
