First i wanted to buy a new system, but now im like fok it so my question is .. i want to replace my Sparkle GTS250 for a MSI Nvidia 660 TF..
the thing is, the MSI 660 TF is for a 3.0 PCI,E and my mobo got only 2.0 x16. so will it run good on my pc?
plus my system it self isnt the newest anymore..
my psu is a Be Quite 550Watts
my cpu is a Quadcore Q8200 2.33GHZ x 4
my rams is at 4 GIG ddr2 from OZC or smt
my HDD is 650 Sata2 or smt..
Wil this MSI N660 TF run fine on my computer?

atm when i play latest games.. it runs well.. but it feels like the GPU is holding back .. what i mean is.. its abit weak.. with that card (n660) i think i can run it well.. but my prob is.. will it run on my mobo..??cpu is too weak.
new games won't be running well.

You will notice a big increase in performance no doubt, but if i had to guess (cause i cant find anything on google) i would say you will only be able to use around 70% of your cards potential because of the weaker cpu in comparison of your 660.
You could overclock your cpu but then you prob need to buy a better cpu cooler and its hard if you dont have any experience in that.
And you can damage your cpu etc, messy work that is ;
But it also depends on the game though, starcraft for example doesnt really care what graphic card u have after a certain point, its more a cpu based game
Just like demo in a way, after a point it doesnt matter anymore and it only relies on cpu power.
So your options are:
1 - You dont care about maxing your gpu power, buy it and still enjoy most games on high/ultra settings (you can always upgrade later)
2 - get a gpu that you can use on full power and will also cost you less (the logical choice)
3 - Buy a new set: motherboard cpu and ddr3 ram and a 660 but this will be like 500 euro if you want high end stuff!
Choice is up to you

oke good to know that.. but atm at farcry3 when i put evrything on ultra.. its not that laggy at all. but its also not that smooth..so if i get this new card.. will it be a bit more stable when i play it on ultra ?PCI-E standard is designed backwards compatible so PCI-E 3 cards will work with PCI-E 2 slots. However, GTX 660 is a serious overkill vs your Q8200 unless you plan to overclock it beyond 3 GHz and even then, your CPU will be the bottleneck in most games.
and i know my cpu is a weak one.. i was thinkin of buying a new system.. but then i was like nah .. aint gonna spend that much so only a card would do fine.. and yea ill buy a new good cpu cooler also to put it on 3ghz .. hope that it will be a bit more stable.. i dont need like highest fps at bf3 farcry3.. all i want is that i can play it on ultra with a decent fps.. like minimum 30/40.. You'd probably get a nice boost in FC3 with GTX 660, because it's more a GPU dependent game. BF3 on the other hand seems to love both the GPU and the CPU power so lesser fps gains are to be expected there.oke good to know that.. but atm at farcry3 when i put evrything on ultra.. its not that laggy at all. but its also not that smooth..so if i get this new card.. will it be a bit more stable when i play it on ultra ?
