If you have been spending time running through the desolate ruins of Stella Montis in Arc Raiders, you have likely run into Shani and picked up the side quest titled "Fragmented Logs." Compared to some of the pure combat tasks, this one is a bit of a multi-step puzzle that requires you to hunt down three specific terminals across two very different Points of Interest (POIs). The good news is that you do not need to pull off a miracle run to get it all done in a single deployment. You can chip away at it over multiple drops, which takes a lot of the pressure off.
Here is a complete, straightforward walkthrough to getting this quest wrapped up so you can claim your rewards and move on to the next tier of vendor upgrades.
Quest PreparationBefore you queue up and drop in, there is one crucial thing you need to sort out: an Electrical Component. This is the literal key to getting the first part of the quest working.
-
Bring it with you: The absolute easiest way to handle this is to check your stash before deploying. If you have a spare Electrical Component sitting around, throw it right into your inventory.
-
Find it on site: If your stash is bare or you completely forget to pack one, don't panic. You can still salvage your run by looting the surrounding areas. Keep an eye out for everyday electronic junk like old phones and screwdrivers, or take down some local Wasps and gather their scrap. Head to a nearby recycling station to break those items down, and you will have the component you need.
Your first destination takes you deep into the heart of the Robotic Sandbox POI. You are looking for the central upstairs control room, which sits high above the chaos below.
To get there, make your way toward the large, elevated bridge or hallway structure that runs directly between Robotic Sandbox A and Robotic Sandbox B. Look around the base of this structure for a nearby zipline or a set of stairs to take you up to the second level. Once you are inside this upper control hallway, look around for a main console. When you approach it, you should see an interaction prompt pop up reading "Repair Faulty Components." Hand over the Electrical Component you brought along, and the first part of your checklist is done.
Step 2: Enable Power in the Conduit BackroomsOnce the upper console is repaired, your next move is to drop down to the ground level of the very same POI. You do not have to travel far, but you do need to head toward the northeastern side of Sandbox A.
Keep your eyes peeled for an alcove or a doorway marked as Control Room A3. This doorway serves as the entrance into the conduit backroom passage. Head inside the room and check along the right-hand wall. You are looking for a small generator-style metal box mounted to the wall that features a manual power switch. Step up to it, flip the switch, and you will successfully route power straight into the main mainframe system, setting up the final leg of the quest.
Step 3: Boot the Mainframe Data TerminalNow that the power is back online at the Robotic Sandbox, it is time to leave that area behind and head over to the far eastern edge of the Stella Montis map to visit the Cultural Archives POI.
When you arrive at the Cultural Archives building, bypass the main public areas and head straight into the service backrooms located right in the middle section of the complex. If you look closely at your mini-map, you will see a small architectural section that clearly juts out from the main block of the building structure—that is your target. Walk into this side server room, but keep your weapon ready. These narrow corridors are frequently patrolled by annoying Ticks and aggressive Shredders, so clear them out before you let your guard down. Once the room is safe, walk to the desk terminal located at the very back of the space. Interact with the prompt that says "Bring Online."
A Quick Pro-Tip: The absolute best part about this final step is that the quest progress saves the exact moment you hit the switch. There is no nail-biting, stress-filled sprint to an extraction point required just to save your progress. Once the terminal is online, the quest is officially in the bag.
