Ppl playing 1.00 never wanted to move to gold version even if it has PB cuz the gameplay was a lil different.

Well I figured out a way to get PB working keeping the 1.00 gameplay, more infos there :

I called that patch "semigold" as its 1.00 game with Gold PB feature.
The only stuff I would like to fix is that running the semigold.exe ppl get the serverlist from 1.00. I checked with an hexadecimal editor but im not sure wheres that part located so I wondered if sum1 had some knowledge to give me a hand on this.

Atm when u patch your 1.00 you get a second executable called sof2mpsemigold.exe next to your original sof2mp.exe. you gota use semigold to join semigold servers as they are listed among gold serverlist.

1.00 RD kam2 community could never make the step to mousetrap due to issues installing/running the program and due to the fact ppl were making excuses. Also you can connect to server even if not using MT so basically almost no1 used it. With PB enabled ppl not running PB client side wont be able to connect and it should help finally cleaning that game getting killed slowly but surely by cheaters.

How thoroughly have you tested it?

You say "I can update PB", how can you do this?

In the URL you gave, you suggest that people use a keygen. Obviously that is a laugh. But now to the point: does PB not recognize that the keygen (or GUID generated from it) is fake? I thought that used to be the case.

We already have mousetrap, and that's enough. This sounded too complicated for me so didn't bother reading after 1 sentence.

u dont need a key to play u can just cancel when prompted for it but it can be annoying as its a kind of popup but whatever not the point.

You can update PB in 2 ways : the autoupdate of the software (nothing to do basically or u can force it with rcon or panel control if u rent at roxservers.com )

you can also update the cheat cvars on server side which means when a new cheat is amde you can block it on servers adding it to ur cfg. Which means no clientside update which makes it easier and more simple to use.

Btw i made that cuz on the rd kam2 mt failed, ppl not using it at all mostly for some bullshit reasons about hard install then they got bored by frequent updates and server down etc. With PB its just much more simple so we are implementing it to the rd kam2 community.

Anyway this is not rly the point, it perfectly works, the only downside is that when using it u get gold and 1.00 patched servers but i doubt this could be solved anyway as there will be a version incompatibility. thx anyway.

Why don't you CTF'ers come to INF instead? More players and clans there + all must be Pure/mt.

1st cuz of third and second cuz of not rd.
I agree servers should be pure but too many kids using skins and not wanting to quit those shits.
If it was about me we would of used mt and pureservers a long time ago but im not deciding for kids and immature players who are a big majority on mp games and even more on sof2.

well i got original sof2 bought in shop I deleted my cd key and tried to start the game, I was prompted for a cd key, pressed cancel and was able to join pb server and also ahgd a GUID.

PB is a very good anticheats as far as you know how to configure it and keep it up to date. It takes screeenshots automatically and doesnt lag you when doing it. You can choose what cvars and what values are allowed on ur server.

They created PB for sof2 FULL and im talking about sof2 full, just removed soem stuffs added by gold patch that were altering gaming. basically its like using custom PK3 nothing else.

about the keygen it wasnt meant to "crack" or whatever, i think ppl who play full for years should have all bought it but lets face it thats not the case. ALtho some players got a purchased version but after so long time they mostly have just lost their cd key and anyway as i said its just about a commodity since pressing cancel does the job.



@ Xillax yes i would definitely be interested by the info, at least to give a try and rethink about how to manage with the serverlist stuff, the best would be to create a separate one but i doubt thats possible.

Merely blocking CVARs isn't a solid way to block cheats. You can just recompile the cheat using different CVARs.

You can just use g_allowThirdPerson 0 server side to disable 3rd. Granted, the server must be Pure to ensure that the client uses RPM mod, so that it is truly disabled. But if you want to use PB you should also run Pure anyway to keep things fair.

You can just use g_allowThirdPerson 0 server side to disable 3rd. Granted, the server must be Pure to ensure that the client uses RPM mod, so that it is truly disabled. But if you want to use PB you should also run Pure anyway to keep things fair.

g_allowThirdPerson 0 works aswell with rpmclientsonly to 1 no need pure mode.

And pb screenshots do their part of the job too.

Not true, I can make a fake version of RPM to simulate that I have RPM, but in fact I don't. Additionaly, I've created an aimbot that uses the sof2mp_cgame.qvm, there is no way for the anticheat to check whether or not I'm using it. The only way is to use Pure.

I'm just trying to prove that any anticheat is useless unless you use it in a Pure server (MouseTrap and PB). Your efforts are a waste of time unless you run Pure. I just hope that you understand this, and that you share this opinion. No hard feelings.

I know that already but gota make the first step. Asked ppl to put their skins and mods into their RPM/RPMPro folder already so will be easier when doing the next step. No hard feelings either altho this thread got completely hijacked.
