idk if it'll work but i think its nice idea
its like what they do at the champions league
based on the rank they sort out the group stage
I mean, instead of doing this cup as knock out, maybe lets do it based on group stages and then shorter knock out
32 players, 8 groups, the first place qualify to the quarter
for every win at group stages you get 1 point and for a lose 0.
for a win at quarter you get 3 points, for a lose 2.
a win at semi you get 5, lose you get 3
for a win at finals you get 8, for alose 5
based on rank the next cup group stage can be sorted out like this -
the best 8 ranked of the 32 players are placed in each group
the the 2nd best ranked of the 32 players are placed in each group randomly
and go on
in that system we will see only the best players at quarters and higer, and we won have matches like camper-xillax at the first round
btw at group stage you play once against the other 3, so it becomes 1 match longer to get to the final then the current system

so what do u think

it aint completly like the champions league but i think its ok.
Especially the fact that you wont get a final like ravea - xillax or a first round with xillax camper.
its a nice idea though you will have to make the point counting a bit more clear

yea then this wouldn't be a night cup but more like a week cup hehe

32 players = 16 matches -> 16 players = 8 matches -> 8 players = 4 matches -> 4 players = 2 matches -> 2 players = 1 match
thats 31 matches

with ur system there's 8 groups in which everyone has to play each other
8x6= 48 already, without even mentioning the playoffs

the matches are played at the same time, it doesnt matter
its only 1 more because now its 2 rounds, quarters, semi, final. 5 matches
my suggestion is 3 group stages matches, quarters, semi, final. 6 matches
