if i want to buy a pc , with specs like that ? how much money I should have? (+ a good videocard , like geforce 8600 or higher) Because i really want to stay out the way of the 50/60 fps i got atm.. and ofcourse i dont want to buy a pc only for sof... im not that addicted hahaha
around 800 i suppose if you can make it urself
dont buy Geforce 8600 lol! i got the 8600 gt and it aint that great compared to what they have in store now. i have an q6600 quadcore with 4 gig ram and even for that its not that great.
fleim im not talking about special customized computers, but normal computers aint better than than a i7 with 4 gig ram. or atleast you wont see them allot. its pretty cool spec if you ask me
and i have never heard of a triple cored cpu skyline, unless you have a pro motherboard with 3 shitty cpu's on it LOL. but i could be wrong
last one for camie
dont overlock your cpu, the cpu will get overheated and the endurance will decrease + you bring your other hardware in danger. i overclocked my cpu to 3.1 ghz and from the start you can notice the flaws, erros, crashes. its not good at all.
ye
pretty cool, now put 4 i9 cpu's in it so you have 16 cores

Some BS there but let's get this right. You can overclock your cpu (gpu & memory too) and it won't get overheated unless you touch the voltages and this is what I did with my former pc since the motherboard's BIOS didn't have any options for switching voltages. I was able to squeeze 300mhz more from my Celeron 1700 -> 2000mhz and there was no noticable change in cpu temperature nor in the PC's stability. Going further in frequency it didn't pass all the stability tests and that was the point I would have had to increase cpu voltage which wasn't possible with that motherboard. Naturally increasing voltage brings more heat and it's safe to do if you keep monitoring the system stability & temperatures in stress and don't let them get too high. Before increasing voltage you should have a proper cooling in your system and a quality power supply to keep things safe.
Heat affects endurance yes but all the components will fail sooner or later, could be 1 day or 50 years so I wouldn't be so worried of a several degrees increase in temps if they were not high already. You can always fight heat by getting extra cooling.
EDIT: Forgot to add my upgraded gaming corner, added a 15" monitor for IRC and MSN

the z-2300 seems to be a very good one. how are your experiences with these speakers and subwoofer ofcourse?
i like hard techno music, so some nice bass and a fine volume would be necessarily for me.

thats right, see how much you have to adept just to overlock your computer. while sometimes it isnt posible to change the correct settings for an stable system. without changing any hardware
i can have a long story, but just to make it short
you say heat affects your components. but sooner or later they will all fail. thats some bs for me. you increase the chance of failing, therefor its pretty known that it also will. sure you can fight it with buying more cooling and everything, but i would not buy a better cooler when i overclock my cpu with 0.5 ghz. same goes for many. dont get me wrong, i get your point and you are right. but not many people here can properly overlock, since most are newbs when it comes to that. therefor you shouldnt do it. Unless you have the knowlegde. but dont overclock by some tutorial from the inet, while you dont know what you're doing.
maybe a bad example but i would still like to put it here
i can smoke for 50 years and not get cancer. i can not smoke at all and still get it. But the chance you get it when you dont smoke decreases.
original things will last longer than tuned or tweaked stuff. goes for everything.

The most common cause of lung cancer is long-term exposure to tobacco smoke.[4] The occurrence of lung cancer in nonsmokers, who account for as many as 15% of cases [5], is often attributed to a combination of genetic factors,[6][7] radon gas,[8] asbestos,[9] and air pollution,[10][11][12] including secondhand smoke.
though it is the main cause yes

u ll get longcancer or u dont, smoking just makes it quicker to appear. it doesnt create the longcancerWell most components are designed with with a safety factor ofcourse, some components can be overclocked without any problems. Lungs are not designed to inhale tar ofcourse and smoking almost only causes lungcancer (which is not comon for non-smokers) as far as I know
new example please!
tbh starelite sucks and turqua your talking so much shit but u got nothin to backup for it lol.
9-6-2011 5:35:42 Defqon OR u let me join Se
9-6-2011 5:35:46 TURQUA why
9-6-2011 5:36:29 Defqon because i dont have a clan and i need a clan since amex never wars since they play full all the time and Se was the first clan where i actually learned something and improved a bit
9-6-2011 5:37:02 TURQUA i will have to talk to other members first
9-6-2011 5:37:07 TURQUA ill let you know within a decade

Its classified as a cause: cigarette smoke damages the cells (sigarette smoke contains alot of carcinogens), most people that have lungcancer have it due to smoking.
People that don't smoke and don't inhale it alot hardly ever get lung cancer, so yeah your right when you say smoking increases the chance or getting it (because there is a small chance if getting it without) but smoking does have a role in the damaging of your cells and thats probably why they classify it as a cause.
Do you smoke? xD

I don't get what's bs for you in my post. You're pretty much saying the same things I said above. Talking about newbs of OC I have been a total newb in it too and I've learned about it through error and retry. Same goes for many other new things. There shouldn't be any hardware risk when overclocking when you don't touch the voltages.
