Well, there are so many SOF2-tournaments these days but in my opinion it would be nicer to make just 1 big competition.
Knock out system is in my opinion not the most substantial method to see who is best.
So why don't we make one big competition for like 10 active clans?
Every clan plays twice against each other, deadline a few months, etc.
I'm just wondering, wouldn't this be a great idea?
If it is, I would like to organise something like this, with ofcourse some support from others.

Its basicly the same as a ordinary clan cup.

Most cont care about the system used. Knock out or competition.
+ there are already to many cups running atm.

Asrael exactly knows what I means!
And for others, the difference with a normal tournament is that in a competition every clan wars against every other clan (in a normal tournament it depends on your group). People always complaint about 'the group of death' and shit.. With a competition we don't have this problem, it's the most fair method.

But alot of players join/leave clans.. So the skill level will change alot.. ? Cups are played with members registered so its stable.

Arranging those 18 cupwars is a lot of work, no matter if you got 2 months or not. You could do that whole thing prospectively though, just choose the 10 clans, and check the last two matches between all of them and count the points. Actually playing such a cup wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting as a knockout cup, because there are so many matches and none of them are really that important.

if u mean every clan/team needs to play all participants, then yes i had this idea before and i was thinking of implying it to something after the team cup ends, this way there is no luck with who you get to play in picked groups etc, you truly deserve the win this way imo, not that the systems we use atm are bad, but you gotta admit there is luck involved with picked groups instead of ranked matches

sounds nice, but I fail to see the point unless there is some nice prizes because 18 wars in a league is like sick, 18 weeks(1 match per week like football) without a nice prize is n00b

maybe if every clan wanted to put in some cash and the top few gets some cash ?

Where do u get the 18 wars from? we maybe have 12 active and decent clans in demo, ~5 will have a shot at winning, thus those 5 will prob pay, rest wont. if u want prices i guess someone will have to donate, hint hint wink wink xillhax

There are many things we can do to make such competitions more attractive I think.
A few examples:
- After one whole competition is played we can make play-offs (just like in soccer), the last 2 clans degrades and make places free for new clans.
Those new clans first needs to play play-offmatches (between all clans who wants to join the competition instead of the 2 degraded clans).
- The first four clans get benefits for new tournaments, as example: the first four clans get seperated in new tournamentsgroups.

9x2 = 18

win = 3 points
draw = 1 point
lose = 0 points
And make the same schedule like football
example.
