I thought before that Anus and Turqua were cool guys and I honestly liked them. However, I think it's morally very low to hack other people's passwords, share them with someone and abuse those accounts. It's a lot worse than hacking in a cupwar. Even though they could have done a lot more damage and probably didn't think it's that serious, it still shows their disregard for Demobase rules and how they don't respect other users' privacy. The bans Anus and Turqua have to suffer for this are ridiculously weak compared to what I think they'd deserve. If I was to decide I would give them something between 1 year - permaban.

I didn't hack anything on demobase.eu, and there is nothing in the demobase rules regarding logging in with other peoples accounts. I think those users disrespect their own privacy, by using the same password for multiple sites. I cannot be blamed for other peoples lack of knowledge regarding the encryption methods that some forums use. phpbb2 stores the password in simple md5 format, and most users use a very, very, very easy password that can be cracked in 0,1 second on one of many websites.
Yes i am the person who actually cracked the passwords of some users, (around 200 users where simply lucky including a couple of admins, they logged in after we updated to phpbb3 so their passes were md5+salt) but using that easy passwords on more than one site is simply asking for trouble.

And u agreed to the registration-terms, which say: "As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither Anus Cocainus nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. "

Because we're supposed to know that some nerd is gonna go around to other forums and try our username and pw? Are you fucking serious? If I were to use the same password for all my online banking, could you blame me? Do you honestly think i'm going to believe that someone from the bank will try and use my password at another bank or something? Not everyone is a big loser. You don't see admins on this forum trying to see if they can login to other people's accounts on another forum. It's all a matter of maturity.

It isn't right to crack someone's password even if one had an easy one.

Just because a rule is not written doesn't mean it gives you the authority to go and use multiple accounts without their permission. You make it sound like you're some kind of messiah and you can do whatever the fuck you want.

What intent did you have by using someone elses account anyways? At least we knew what butchers lame purpose was to use other peoples accounts. No1 knows what mischief you were up to when you were using others accounts. Who spends their evenings trying to guess 200+ demobase users accounts anyways.

You should get a permanent ban just for your ignorance and lack of respect towards others.

I agree with Jesa 100%. Nothing more lame than to ''hack'' other peoples accounts. Even if it is just for shits and giggles or just trying to get votes for something (*thumbs up* butcher). You're still invading one's privacy whether you think so or not.

I'm not sure what anus and turqua were trying to accomplish by doing this but I join jesa saying that this 90 day ban does not do justice. Although a ban doesn't really do anyone justice. All you really can do is, shake your head in despair and hope that some day, they will grow up.

It is coincidence that few days ago somebody stole my msn account and steam. I had there the same password as on demobase
