Match report:

Pre-match

sK. won the kniferound and decided to start in blue.

Set 1

|she| started very strong here in the defending.
sK. really had no grib at the Main situation.
Zioni and Blade were dominating from the beginning, especially in East.
So |she| took the first 3 points in a row.
sK. could take a point back, but |she| took the dominating gameplay again.
They played very smart by killing one or two players from sK. in Main and took over Roof.
I have to admit Executor had a very bad day in sniping, he missed many shots.
|she| profited from this and could take Roof kinda easy.
They just held there and let sK. come, and eliminated them together one by one.
This tactic actually continued the following rounds.
sK. had finally downstairs under control, but then |she| was already Roof.
So the situation was mostly ending in 2on4 on Roof.
Azzy had here and there some nice moves and made 3 kills in an important round.
So the score became 7-3 to |she|.
sK. wanted to take some more points since the hard side (red) had yet still to come.
But sK. wasn't helping eachother at all, at least not from my perspective.
A good example was that Abu took the case and he was alone meanwhile whole sK. was Roof already, but nobody could boost him.
And so |she| finished this set by 10 to 5.

Posted Image

|she| Posted Image win by 10 to 5

Set 2

Now I thought it was already played since |she| played tacticly very focussed.
This time sK. started strongly.
sK. took some points and one round they had Roof with four and |she| had three left.
Still |she| managed to win this round, which was impressive.
The next rounds were very crucial.
Nastacus had two 1on1 situations with Zippa.
Zippa won them both, which lead to the fact |she| was close to their victory, it became 4-4 on the board.
Zippa made a very nice and important pistol-kill on Roof, Nastacus was very close.
What happened after surprised my eyes.
sK. defended very very good in Conference, or maybe |she| didn't give enough pressure.
Anyway it was for the neutral spectator exciting..
It became 7-4 on the board, and I thought in myself: 'Would |she| give this away?'|
And |she| took another point, so it was at least a draw.
But sK. was not going to give up, they gave really everything in Conference.
And surprisingly enough they even made it so far it was a draw!

Extension

Since it was a draw and it's a knock-out game, I was surprised that everyone left the server.
Quite a funny moment, nobody really realised it.
So we gathered MSN again and |she| was actually a bit tired, sK. was still for a going.
After some grouptalk at both clans, they both agreed to play the Extension now.
Both clans also agreed on playing 2x10 (source: http://www.donmorrie...tension.dm_2001 (Demo from 'Extension')).
As we went all back to the server again, we could make ourselves up for a new match.
Both clans agreed on no kniferound to be played, resulting |she| in red, sK. in blue (source: http://www.donmorrie...tension.dm_2001 (Demo from 'Extension')).

Set 1 (Extension)

sK. began very strong with Prime as substitution for Executor and they felt they had to make something right.
|she| tried to take over Roof again which succeeded.
A crucial moment followed, Marty was alone left on Helipad and had three players from sK. left to take out.
He almost did that, but Abu took him out on the last moment.
This moment was crucial because somehow it gave sK. enough confidence to realise they were the better clan now.
What followed was impressive.
They runned over |she|, on every side, no matter what |she| tried.
I think |she| was tired or didn't know another method to surprise sK.
But sK. was hungry, and they rushed over and over, round after round.
It went so quick, there is actually not much to report about it.
It became 10-1 on the scoreboard and I felt it was over...

sK. Posted Image win by 10 to 1

Set 2 (Extension)

Abu had to restart his computer fast and we could begin again.
It was like I mentioned already over, |she| knew that.
sK. took already the first 2 points and it was over.
After a long match and now this Extension, |she| asked nicely if they could leave (source: http://www.donmorrie...tension.dm_2001 (Demo from 'Extension')).
I understood it and I think sK. as well.
The match was finally over.

sK. Posted Image win by 2 to 0

Final Score: |she| Posted Image 16 - 27 sK. Posted Image

Conclusion

The most tense game so far in this cup.
I think the Extension-break did sK. very good to re-think about the match what went wrong.
Also Prime substituted was a way better move than Executor.
Though Executor played defensively good in the red team, he was on the blue side with his sniper not accurate at all (nothing personal).
Prime was way more aggresive.

Both deserved to win, |she| (before the Extension) with their creative East players Zioni and Blade who played very well there.
But sK. as well who defended the case with their lifes.
Azzy and Fleim were playing pretty strong, but Nastacus was prestating nicely also.
In the extension, Azzy, Fleim and Abu were like refreshed like they were reborn.
Their aims were like twice as sharp, especially Abu (who prestated before the Extension kinda weak).
I think |she| wasn't really prepared or in the mood for a re-match at all.
Still I want to thank them for staying and playing this Extension.

After the whole match viewed, sK. was defineathly better, but this view is actually based on the end of Set 2, where you made your draw.
|she| gave it away, both were worthy to eachother, but only one can go on in a knock-out, too bad it was |she| going out, but my congratulations goes to sK. for making it a draw meanwhile |she| could finish it with 3 matchpoints.

See you next time |she|!
A very nice try, and well done sK.!
Let's hope the next matches in the cup will be this exciting!

I want to thank Butcher also for renting his server, since it was the best for all players based on their ping.
Unlikely he is banned, this was sportive from him.

It's a very nice report luminaire, it sums it up very nicely.

Good games she, I knew it would be close, everything we done on blue went terrible.. usually blue is our strong side, we played impressive on red. Both clans deserved to go throught imho. Tense war!

Nice report, always a heart breaker to lose like that.
A team who throw it away like that, usually
gets mindfucked and losses the extension.

It was my opinion, he didn't play bad but he was not as accurate with his sniper as I know him.
He played well in Conference.

hahahah listen to you geeks jumping all over my dick. i didn't even snipe bad, my shot wasn't on but it wasn't off necessarily either. she just did an amazing job playing around me, when they'd rush roof they smoke their paths to ramp and nade me, in main they'd either avoid east altogether or smoke it when they came. If all my teammates died i wasnt in the mood to whore it out and waste time tryin to win a 1on4.

and say what u want i more than made up for it in red

i feel entire rematches when there is a draw are one the most biased, unfair methods to settle a match. Having said that, we can only blame ourselves (i didnt play, but still a she member) as we gave it away so easily in the second round.

In all fairness, in the case of a tie i have a good idea to settle the match in a more fair, shorter way:

- 5 1on1's (every player in the war plays one).
- The players in the team that won their side in the shortest time can choose which side they play on in their 1on1 and which player of the other team they play against.
- After 5 such 1on1's, the team with 3 or more won 1on1's simply goes through.

not only this will stimulate a team to move away from whoring, kitchen camping, anti-sof tactics but it is also a more logical, fair way to settle a one-hour match compared to playing an extension of another one-hour match to settle it, which is just really inaccurate
