I'm going to make a citytrip to London for 3 days with my gf in September.
I was wondering, anyone been there yet? Expensive? Places I should deff visit?
I'm also still doubting by going by airplane or just take the eurostar.

and u should defenitly visit abercrombie & fitch. awesome store in the center of london where u see hot chicks dancing all over the place xD. on top of that its only like 30/40 euros for a nice sweater.$

its kinda relative, depends where you live...for many foreign countries shit in estonia is cheap etc, meanwhile stuff in rus is cheap for us etc..but in the end paycheck:expenses ratio is all the same almost anywhere

chessington park of adventure(35 pounds 1 ticket for whole day 1 person kinda expensive but worth it) its a great thing to get your gf on its actually not in London but very near like 30mins by train , odeon cinema imax 3d big screens etc ( 7-12 pounds depends if hd 3d etc per ticket) , Maddame tussauds (check on website for price its like 20 I bet), depends what u like go to KEw garden (royal family queens gardens )with your chick mate dont forgot about parlament big ben n london eye they are very close to each other . Paste those names , places in google and check it yourself pz

if u want to use a bus u need to pay 2 pounds inside or just buy a oyster card , u need to top up 1.20 p for 1 way everything is expensive pack of cigaretes 2.30 p for 10 cigs 20 like 4.35 the cheapest 1 up yo 8 pounds , beer 1 pound what else u need ask me Iam actually here:)

buy whole days travelling tickets for underground trains, you get everywhere with them so it comes cheaper to use them, besides london underground is awesome anyways

hotels & hostels are expensive. restaurants are expensive. otherwise living isnt so expesive and alcohol is little cheaper than in Finland. fastfoods are cheap! (compairing to Finland, you know WE are expensive compaired to you )

Was hitch-hiking around the UK for a month last summer. Also stayed in London for a few days. Can't really say where to go with your girlfriend, I myself just drank beer and walked up and down the Thames with a few friends. However if you need a place to stay in London or anywhere for that matter, you should try sites like http://www.hospitalityclub.org/ and http://www.couchsurfing.org/
Basically how it works is that you sign up and search for people who are interested in giving you a place to crash for a few nights, if not that then people who would like to show you around the city or whatnot. Worked out great for me, met a lot of awesome people. Hope it helps and have fun in London.

Totally forgot about this topic.
I heard some people saying london is expensive but also got cheaper stores..
After checking the bill for the city trip, I have to pay way more to get to London than to stay there for 2-3 nights in a 4 Stars Hotel (The Tower) lol.
Anyway I will check some of the things out on the net that some of you posted.
Probably won't be able to visit everything in only 3 days but I'm sure it'll be fun.
Any romantic spots over there?
