The referee was a joke. What a disgrace. Any doubt resulted in a free kick for Barca, Arsenal received 5 cards and Barca 0, complete bullcrap if you ask me. Still, it wouldn't have been surprising if Barca had won anyway but it sure would have influenced the match. GAY BASUCKA or whatever that swiss nub is called

The more important football matches are, the bigger jokes appears. The referee in Barca-Arsenal was a biggest joke i've lately seen in football. The simulations of D.Alves and rest Barcelona players first half was disgusting. Robin van Persie was sent out after 2 wrong referee decisions. The referee just killed the match. No neutral fan would disagree with me, whole match was set up for Barcelona. The level of refereeing was 100 years before Polish corrupted Ekstraklasa or some Uzbekistan leauge. How come it happens in XXI century??
Take a look that the referee most of the match didn't even compete in Arsenal's attacks, he was staying @ the half of the pitch and couldn't see plenty of fouls Barcelona did while defending their goal. He looked like he had no knowledge about professional referee positioning, he didn't know where to stay lots of times.
Barca should have got at least 3 or more yellow cards for obvious fouls or simulations but received nothing. And the almighty fifa not accepting recordings during match is saying that they don't care about beauty of footbal at all. Just look @ NBA, works perfectly.
What's sense in watching football on the highest level then?

but v. persie 2nd yellow was kinda harsh tho...1st half was pretty boring 2nd half was pretty good

true.. i think barca bough him cuz he's a promising player, he's young (around 20 y'), probably for he next generation.

Well, I think Barca deserved to win. They had a lot of chances, attacked really hard and were giving it all. If Barca could finish the chances they created, it would have been 6-1 or so.
Arsenal, on the other hand, disappointed me (especially Fabregas and Wilshere). They were too defensive and had only 1 chance (85 min). Even when they were 3-1 down, they still had a lot of time to make that 1 goal, but it looked like they had given up. Man, such a shame.
2 unlucky moments in this game! Own goal Busquets and red card van Persie.
Overall, bad game for the football lovers. This match deserved so much more...

But in van persie's case, its not the ref his fault at all. he whistled by the book. what van persie did was also timewasting, and you're not gonna tell me that 55 mins in game while there hasnt been any problem yet with players not hearing the whistle now suddenly they didnt hear it?

Wilshere dissapointed you? I don't know what match you were watching but he was brilliant in both. Of course he wasn't as good in the second match as he was in the first match, but he was definately one of the MVP's on Arsenal's side. I can understand that you were dissapointed in Fabregas though.
Also you're saying ''they had a lot of time to make that 1 goal'' - LOL, man 10v11 in Camp Nou, how much chances do you think you're gonna get? Arsenal got a huge chance at the end but Bendtner failed his first touch big time, but I didn't even expect them to get one more chance against this Barcelona lol.
In my opinion it wasn't a bad match at all as I love matches with super high tension. This match just demonstrated another dimension of football, which is also nice to see!
As a finisher id like to say that Messi is a fucking LEGEND.

Yeah, the tackle on Nani should have been a red card. English referees are different than any other referees, but this is so wrong... just a yellow card.
Wilshere disapoint me because he didn't had the same intensity, power and quality he had in the first match (in London). I didn't say he did bad, he was just "ok", but he wasn't playing like he normally is. Maybe it's because of the pressure. 95,000 supporters + he's very young and inexperienced.
Fabregas is more experienced and should have carried his team. I heard Arsenal didn't even make 3/4 passes in a row. I blame Fabregas (and Wilshere has it's share as well) on that. These guys had to lift their team. And what Fabregas did, just before the box, is totally unacceptable.
10 v 11 doesn't mean you have to chill and wait. That's what Arsenal still did though. 3-1 in the 71st minute, after that I never saw a rush or something spectacular to score that 1 goal! Even teams in La Liga who played with 10 are more attacking than this Arsenal I saw!
I think this match was bad because of the ideology of Mr. Wenger. He thought he could defend his 2-1 lead, therefore sacked his attacking attitude.
If both team played well, I would say it's an overall good match. Barcelona played outstanding, Arsenal the opposite of that.
Messi is the best player I have ever seen. And the beautiful thing about it is, he can, and most definitely will improve.
