Those were the days Kind of felt like we had a chance after that quick 2-0 lead, but Benfica was (unfortunately) just better. I think they woke up after the 2-0 and were able to secure their spot in the semifinals pretty easily. Have to say that 2-1 Benfica scored was just as beautiful as it was lucky, it only just went in and a PSV defender was like 2 cm away from heading it out of the goal. Wonder what wouldve happened in the second half if we had still had the 2-0 lead, guess we will never know

Thats why ajax is the dutch legend and psv are just peasants.

Tho Portuguese clubs won 4 times CL But all together. 2x Benfica and 2 times Porto. While dutch teams won it 6 times in total, 1 psv 1 feyenoord 4 times ajax witch is kinda special considering how small netherlands is and only liverpool real and AC milan won more times then ajax. uefa cup is kinda fail anyways imo, its like a losers trophy.
