Win 7 and config ?
#1

So I reinstalled SoF II but this time I have windows 7 on my laptop and apparantly the cfg gets installed in a mysterious unknown location?
I created a new MP folder and put a cfg in it myself, but the game doesn't seem to use that one.
It's strange that I'm the first person asking this, I haven't seen anyone before who already made a topic about this specific problem here.
Any solutions?

I especially need that cfg for adjusting my screensize (1280x800, it isn't an option in the game itself), but when i exec the cfg it execs everything except the size ("blabla will be executed after restarting the game"); when I restart it returns back to the old cfg.
Pretty sucky. I don't get it, the game must use a cfg, so it must be somewhere on my hdd right?

no noThanks, but it still doesn't seem to solve my problem because:

you dont restart the game after you exec it
you just do vid_restart ( i dont know if youre restarting the game or vid_restart )

but even when I put stupid settings like, let's say height 100 & width 50, it doesn't change the size of the screen, doesn't matter what size I enter.
But I dunno, I guess it's not a disaster, I can live with it as it is now :-)
Thx for the help anyways.

"AppData" folder is hidden so you need to reveal it.
The solution I have for this directory problem is simple: go onto the SOF directory in the program files folder(or wherever you originally installed it) and go to the SOF exe and right click. Under properties, compatibility then select "Run this program in compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3." Repeat this also for the fairplay exe. After that, the directory should act as normal.
I hope this helps.
