Hey guys,

i recently came back to sof2demo but i can't seem to get fairplay working because it says it isnt in my game folder. I followed all of the tips in the fairplay F.A.Q topic, which means:

My sof folder (which is on my desktop) looks like this:



I have tried the following suggestions:

- BOTH naming it 'Sof2MP.exe and Sof2MP-test.exe
- Putting the sof file on my desktop
- Putting the sof folder in my program files and program files x86
- Putting the sof folder in C drive and in D drive
- Renaming the sof folder to Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix MP TEST
- Reinstalling Sof
- Reinstalling fairplay

Any more suggestions? Thanks in advance.

perhaps the problem is that your file is called "Sof2mp.exe", mine is called "SoF2MP-Test.exe". you could try to change that, maybe that works!

Try re-installing sof, you might miss a few files (can't check right now).

Thanks for your suggestion, but i don't think that's the solution. I installed sof 2 weeks ago (and did encounter a few problems with that which were solved after downloading winzip) but since i did not modify the sof folder i do not think that i am missing any files. Especially because my sof folder looks exactly the same as the 'example folder' as it is posted in the Fairplay F.A.Q topic.

Try move your sof2 folder to desktop, worked for me when I had that error on vista. If it doesn't work, try move everything inside your sof2 folder to dekstop I don't know, but I had to do one of them.

maybe make another directory from desktop, desktop->games->sof2 or rename the folder "soldier of fortune ii - double helix mp test" ? idk, probably wont solve the problem but your sof folder looks like it should so you might just give a try at anything you can come across

Ok, so i tried the following:

Moving my Sof map (i tried renaming it to Soldier of Fortune II - Double helix MP test, but that didn't work) to program files. I tried starting up fairplay from my desktop and from inside my map but that didn't work.
Then i moved my Sof map to program files x86 and tried both fairplays again, but it did not work either.
Tried a few spots after that but i cannot seem to get it working :/

~homii, could you explain further what you mean with making another directory? I didn't really understand what you mean

@wurzil: My sof folder was already on my desktop hehe

Cant believe it lol. Just got accused by Skawwa or something, a guy in htf and prestige. Wouldnt have expected a random accuse from someone in good teams and clans like that. The guy called me a wallhacker and when i asked him if he was able to help me with my fairplay problem, all he could say was 'Illegal module found? Easy to fix tbh'. Quite sad.

And here we go again. Look at him, i have not even played one single round yet and he has already accused me for wallhacking (can someone translate the polish for me?). When i explain him my problem and ask if he can help me, all i get is some stupid laughing and 'stfu kid'.

By the way, can anybody tell me how i can record myself playing or give me the link to a topic that explains it? I tried looking around but i didnt find it, and i think it might be useful for me as i keep getting accused by people...
