I've been meaning to make this post for a few days, so sorry if I passed any sort of barrier I may have not seen in terms of a time table. But we have an issue with abu for Team North America.
Seeing as to how he was captain, I guess I'll speak on his behalf. Pretty much, abu doesn't have internet. For some reason, his ISP fucked up and he can still connect to sof2 servers using IP addresses and be on ventrilo, so technically he still plays with us. He doesn't have access to the internet (demobase) or MSN. He also can't load fairplay because fairplay must connect to shifty's host, caserun.com, in order to work.
Knowing this, I want to ask the admin team for NC4 an exception for abu. He won't be able to play with fairplay, but obviously, he will record. I can also get his records because he can send them through skype (for some reason skype works for him too). I believe he is trying to get his internet back within the next few weeks, but I would still like this exception in case he can't run fp for a match where we would need him to play. He is one of the most active people we have on our roster and we will need him in the nations cup.
If there is anything I can do to help get this exception let me know. I mean, abu is a pretty trusted guy by most of the community. We've all known him for a long time. He will record as he always does. And admins can be sure to watch him when they spec the matches that he is in. Plus, we all know he's the kind of guy who would forget to pay his bill or not have money to pay his bill for his ISP. lol

how longs his net been like this? is it actually his net companys fault? cos it sounds like he just doesnt have dns servers set anymore which is easy to fix (sorta)

We allow Abu to play without Fairplay, but what Toxic said is a correct answer.
The opposite nation has to agree with this.
So the fact if Abu can play doesn't rely in our hands but on the opposite nation.
We don't want to see forfeit loses because Abu couldn't play, so that's why he can play.
But the cup staff can force him to send his demos, so notify him about this.
And like Shifty said, be sure to check whether it's his ISP or a DNS-problem.

I'm sorry but you CANT allow this. Just because he's a good guy and all doesn't mean he gets to play without fairplay in a Nations Cup. That's ridiculous

obviously you cant compare abu and dio
dio is a known hacker and abu has never got into any trouble or been really suspected of hacking as far as i know.... rules are important but sometimes there are legitimate reasons for an exception such as this

I think everything should be allright if abu gives his demo available for all and draws his fps to prove his not using unfair 333fps
abu cant do any jumps let alone jump over a box sitting on roof i doubt he can even get 333 fps anyways
