(Zondag 17 oktober 2010) SVD Kortemark PU21 - K. VK Avelgem: 2 - 1

Een heel belangrijke wedstrijd was dit, wetende dat beide ploegen met evenveel punten in klassement gerangschikt stonden. De winnaar kon zo een zware concurrent op 3 punten terug slaan. SVD begon heel goed aan de wedstrijd, die we geleidelijk aan in handen namen. Met veel inzet konden onze spelers enkele mooie kansjes afdwingen en over halverwege de eerste speelhelft werd er een strafschopfout begaan op Henri Moyaert, die feilloos omgezet werd door Didier Couvreur. Toch konden de bezoeker de 1-1 op het scorebord doen prijken. De tweede helft waren onze jongens meer in de aanval, doordat de bezoekers wat terughoudend aan het voetballen waren. Het was spannend met enkele mooie acties en Avelgem die loerde op de counter. Toch kon SVD de 2-1 scoren na het omzeilen van de buitenspelval door Didier Couvreur die met een mooie lob de doelman verschalkte. Een verdiende voorsprong die onze spelers niet meer uit handen hebben gegeven. Proficiat aan deze groep spelers die met veel inzet de punten in Kortemark hebben gehouden en zo kon trainer Andy Lannoo heel tevreden naar de kantine komen om een glaasje mee te drinken op deze overwinning.
