1) a trick is not marked sucessful when you don't land on your board.
2) goin fast doesn't need skill in snowboarding? Not agreed, you need balance what comes only thru practicing which means skills in further.
3) since practicing -> skills, it does need skills to do a blackflip on snowboard. ofc it needs guts also, but there is no possible way that a first timer on board makes backflip, you don't learn the right body movement and acting through guts..

Lol, i understand what you mean but its bullshit. Yes, just going straight ahead at high speed isn't easy on a snowboard when you start, but on the other side it's not that hard to do when you have like 4 years of experience. And when you have a great ramp like the ones they built in the red bull videos, just lean backwards and you're already halfway of making a backflip. And since you don't have to worry about landing perfectly, it's not that hard to do a backflip. I never said a firsttimer could make a backflip, and by saying it doesnt require skill i don't mean a random person can do it. But it doesnt require years and years of practise either. Just controlling the basics of snowboarding + some guts is enough. If you dont understand what im saying right now, I can't be arsed to explain it further. Smh.

Just watched performance camp 3, and that looks alot better indeed. I had only seen the videos with the huge airpillow and i wasnt so impressed by those.

It all depends on where you do the trick.. On a big ramp a backflip can be killing. On a good quater with a drop offpiste you geth allot of airtime and are allready arround half you flip before you jump.

Remember you dont stand the same as doing a backflip without a board. Basicly you are jumping to the side and not to your back. Also depends on your stands. But i gues we dont have alpine boarders here trying to do a backflip

Not in the park but I can do it off piste on a self made ramp. Just make a good quater and dont go to fast and it's a good practice.

Strange thing is the longer I board (years) I geth more scared of being injured again. Basicly I dont have the balls to do it in the park yet

the point about the 80 km/h is, if u go on the quarter do the trick with that speed its sooo much harder to do the trick. U talked about the pillow but why u think they use it ?
A double backflip requires practising and u need a big quarter (depends on the distance_ but atleast speed and u have to go high in the air.

So if your gonna do it ur first time u need some speed and ur going high in the air so GOOD IDEA TO DO IT WITHOUT PILLOW NO? the only thing what can happen is break ur whole body lol.

I am only talking about the airpillow tricks by the way, I respect them for doing it without. I know it was just a warmup, but you don't watch the warmup of a soccer match either. It's just not that interesting to watch.

And I have been lucky enough to be able to go to the mountains every vacation, so I do know what I'm talking about.
