Would it be legal for Ravensoft to close down their master server considering the customers who actually bought the game and stuff...? Not that I bought it, but still.

it's legal + it was activision that shut them down (ravensoft emailed shifty back today and now he has emailed activision)

This is a question to ask Activision - go to activision.com and click support.
Raven does not have any servers onsite.

kind of hard to get new players when u cant see servers unless you have ip or fairplay

v1.00 is still active even if the master server is down. Gold is probably going to die since they don't use fairplay and all that, but they can still use connect and add favorite servers etc

It's active, but way less active. It already has a huge impact on people playing.

how come some servers arent on our fp master server list even though they were registered thru rcon with those instructions?

ex: ros. colliseum and public ctf playground

And it's back up! Server admins, keep one of your sv_master CVARs pointed to master.caserun.com, just in case another long outage comes!
