The single player is free to play currently while the server is down. The couple hours I've played it today has been fun so I thought I'd share this with you. The basic idea is to mine a lot, craft different things from the materials and avoid death. The game should work well with older computers too.

Press F to lower your view of distance. I had to lower mine too by 1.
