Fallout 1 - 1997
I ain't gonna lie fallout blew me off my feet, this game is almost 15yrs old I almost can't believe it. Looking at it's story and actual options what you can do I get a feeling gaming industry is moving backwards.
+ freedom, unlike most rpgs like bladurs gate or gothic, you don't certain stuff to get to another chapter.. there's one chapter
getting the water chip, rest is up to you. You can kill them, you can talk with them, you can steal it.
+ character development; you can be what you want to be; you can be a sniper, smooth talker, guy who beats other with his own fists
+ storyline, mood of the game
+ amazing music
+ funny dialogs
- no multiplayer
10/10 imo best non-fantasy rpg; hands down

Fallout 2 - 1999
+ perhaps most complex dialogue options in rpgs ever, you have tons of mini quests, tons of convos available(depends on INT and CHA)
+ even more freedom than first part, you can be bad or good, rob graves, enslave people, rob people then sell it back to them etc
+ tons of funny dialogues and encounters
+ improved graphics over 1st part
- lost some of the climate of the first part, didn't buy into whole tribal thing and well it aint as fresh as 1st part obviously
- still no multi
9/10
Fallout tactics - 2001
Tactics is just different you lead a whole team and it's totally battle orientated, you can still coast the desert but all important places are
in missions.
+ interesting missions
+ character progression from 1st 2parts
+ some funny moments
- cheesy intro, cut scenes
- definitely lost the spirit of fallout
- rather uninteresting story
6/10

Fallout 3 - 2008
+ good graphics I guess, game was solid in terms of music/graphics locations
+ fallout like; lots of guns/skills/items
+ i really loved the enclave radio with Malcolm McDowell, great voice and great radio idea
+ vats was amusing and movie like
- lost the spirit of fallout 1-2 it losts the fun of previous parts which weren't pc correct
for example you can't kill kids, you are limited more than first part, and your dialogue options
some are still mean, but they ain't fallout1-2 badass mean dialogue options. Fallout was original
in that regard, that spirit was lost.
- storyline was rather predictable and well too sweet for fallout + offered less flexibility than in 1&2
7,5/10
