the last game I ever played with hokie.  I woke up early for that one so we could play with our good euro lineup, went to bed 4-5 hours earlier at 4am but I knew I was leaving on vacation for a week and was gunna miss it the entire time, so when hok told me to get my ass up early at 8am, I actually did wake up by 9.  We'd just beat -HaZe- , |she| and -rox- by similar scores... 20-6 vs -rox- or -wee- or some team like that was the first game I played, although hok had alrdy played one with like deo/panda/snugg/butcher before that.  He sent me the screenshots right when I woke up and signed on MSN while eating a bowl of cereal.  Then we played ironCore and it was one of the hardest fought matches I've ever played, feel like it was 7-8 the entire time, a lot of annoying, slow late rounds where I'd be spectating our last alive around stairs or cargo, but we closed out both sides and won 20-13 or so.  I genuinely thought they might have been hacking, they were always so quick on the obscure rotations, always seemed to know where we were, I wanna say it was:

but once we were warmed up on both sides, we started playing damn near perfectly, remember thinking those last few rounds of each half that once we started firing on all cylinders, $nugg and butcher and hok  all communicating perfectly, with free detracting nothing... it just really felt like we hit a new height.  By the end of that game though, our teamwork was really clicking, and we were all warm, so we smoked a legendary -HaZe- team with like g, amb, farlig, reimo, Ol. 20-3, then beat |she| just as bad using their tactics, 

 

But I think it was c4's first game of the day, or maybe they had just beat ironcore right before,

and maybe I just wasn't waking up early enough, but I swear it felt like the first time I'd seen them online in a long time, and I remember being more excited than I've ever felt for a clanwar before, because it was their absolute stud lineup, vs our best teamwork line.

We won 10-0 on red, then someone on c4 left after 1-0 on 2nd side.  I'm 100% sure it was either reflex or cam.  We said that's lame, we just wanted to play, you guys are the best competition, we're not gunna post ss on site or anything, can call it a pcw, just like, an 11 minute war isn't satisfying, lets play another, we can start over fresh, 0-0. 

 

So NavySeal joins in and we do,

and I swear we played a perfect game.  Like our team was more in sync than we'd ever been, prefiring everything together perfectly, never once chacing the ego kill alone, but never once leaving a teammate hanging by hesitating for even for a milisecond, almost every round started by tagging one running to back pillar with the scope, and then snugg or hok would finish it instantly, we'd just collapse on the 2 left in case with 4, dbl boost pat so east couldn't fuck us, and we were gone.  It felt like either me or hok predicted every roof rush perfectly too, those rounds $nugg would stay on tin, free would go pat, I'd be sb with a scope, and we'd have it down to a 3v5 at least before the rest of our team even boosted up and joined the fight.  

 

think all of us won at least 1 miraculous clutch at some point that morning, and it easily could have been a 6-4 or 5-5 game, but it ended 10-0 again. 

 

99% sure I finished that blue side 17/1 with sniper, rest were like 11/8, 7/7, 9/9, 8/9... just super even, selfless teamplay... and it showed that it was definitely a way closer game than what the final score showed.  But I felt like the magic was just on our side that day.  It was definitely one of the best games I ever played, vs. the best opponents I ever played, with the one death coming in the 1 round (7th or 8th?) where I took an ak to mix it up and storm case with hok & butcher & snugg so c4 couldn't adapt, because the rounds were definitely getting tighter, and I didn't want to lose 1 or 2 and have to put away the scope for good.  [^{_{Plus I distinctly remember thinking the rare occasions where we have a fearless lineup like that where no one is ever scared to push... those were the times that I actually wanted to take an AK and rush into case with hok/snugg/mathieu/free.  The only other times I felt like that, were when yoshi was inserted as the 5th, or st4ff or broken or rocket or ph4ze or m4th or SHuTTy.  Tom was maybe the best player to ever play this game, but when priest was in the lineup, it just would never truly feel like the same -=OG=- style, although we'd usually pick teams apart almost just as easily, it was never quite the same style of play.  There was always more finesse when a priest or zioni or sylt or xillax or borno or ceto or lumi or skyline was in the lineup.]}} 

 

Then we swapped to red side again and it felt awkward after we won the 1st round, someone, i think Navy, typed "isn't it over?" and "what are we still playing for," and then we played one more round, and one by one they left.  I remember we had like 9 members online by this point, yoshi had woken up, probably nasta, sika, inou, panda, deo volente, so when hok msn'd me saying he had another war, I told him, "nah use one of the fooookin 9 others we got on" cuz I was going to pick up some weed, but I'd be down later.  He complained that snugg, butcher, sika, and nasta were playing with avelgem, and he didn't want to play without me.  I told him sry, I'd be back in a few hours.

 

I never did get a chance to play with him later, but I'm really grateful for that last morning...
