When did you start playing sof? And why did you stick to it? Why not some other FPS game?
At first me and my brother muse started playing sof1 single player at my nephew’s house (Joachim aka Muerto), we got that game from our older nephew (Tim).
My first encounter with sof2demo was at a friend’s house, after playing outside whole day we played some sof2demo on the pc. This should be somewhere around 2003. Like 6 months later I started to Google for sof2demo on my laptop and found a download link. From this point on I started playing sof2demo more and more.
My first real infiltration clan wars were with | Bs* clan, around 2006. From that point things got better and better for me. In November 2007 I joined team Avelgem, my current team. Meanwhile I got into different clans such as -l-R-Z-l - sK. and 3v.
The question why I stick to this demo game isn’t easy to answer; I never even considered quitting playing this game. There are just some periods of inactivity, but you won’t hear me saying I’ll quit this game forever anytime soon.
Tell us something about your SOF abilities. How long did you practiced to be a player like you are now? Do you still learn a lot from this game?
I do not believe you can get “maxed†in your SOF abilities as you call it, you can refine them every day. One example of this is getting to know all players. If you know the play style of your opponents you can adapt to them and this factor is very important in a small community like demobase.
Avelgem! How did it all started and what was your role in it?
While I was still in | Bs* at 2007, we recruited glenne from Avelgem in the clan. We talked a lot on teamspeak2 back then, and he told me I had to download a better VoIP program, called ventrilo. Glenne was right, on ventrilo the voice quality was almost as if you were talking to the people in real life. So he invited me to Avelgem channel and that's how it all started.
My role in Avelgem has always been something like the manager. I created and maintained a new website for them, used to get most of the wars, manage the members, arrange cupwars, etc. Although Snugg is the actual leader, you could say I’m the executive director to use a nice word.
Do you still enjoy winning wars? Or is the fun over?
Of course I do, wars are the best part of this game. Once the fun of winning a clanwar is over the game is over for me to. Tough not all wars are nice to win, if you play versus complete noobs and win 20-6 you're just happy the war is over, but like yesterday if you win vs -aMeX- after losing blue side you really get a good feeling after the war.
What are, according to you, the + and - of playing SOF?
Well for me the biggest PRO of this game is also related to the biggest CONTRA of this game. The fact that Demobase is a very small community makes it very interesting to play wars on a game where you know all your opponents. But directly related to this is the contra, at some moments of the day it's really hard to get a decent clanwar, or you have to play wars vs the same clans and teams all day.
You’re working at Fragnet. What precisely are you doing there? And what has Fragnet to do with Demobase?
At Fragnet I work as a commercial, this means that I have to make publicity for the company. As an active user on Demobase, it’s clear that I make some publicity for Fragnet on this forum to once a while. I started to work for Fragnet around July 2010. At that point Fragnet wasn’t really known by this community, but nowadays it’s the biggest GSP in the sof2demo scene.

How are you as a person? And what do people think about you? Could you tell some stories which aren't true?
As a person ingame i haven't been always as nice. I used to abuse my power of being able to crash a server whenever i felt someone had done something wrong to me, without realising i affected the gameplay for 10 people instead of getting my revenge on that one person. But that's all in the past; it's been years since i did that kind of lame things.
Also because I have been an active demobase user for years I assume that I have offended a lot of people in my sof2 career. At this point I don’t think there are a lot of people that still hate me.
Most stories you heard are probably true, but things get exaggerated a lot when it comes to demobase.
Did you changed a lot from getting banned?
Being banned didn't change alot to my sof2 gaming. I could still play clanwars and do everything a normal user does, only difference was that i missed a few cupmatches with Avelgem / Team Belgium. The next nationscup will probably be the first cup that I play when i get unbanned, but that'll be for the end of 2011.
What are your other hobbies, besides playing SOF?
I do alot of things on the internet besides gaming or playing sof2demo, the internet became my hobby. I like wasting time on making websites, finding ways to create some pocket money on the internet, etc. I used to play tennis together with my brother, but that's a long time ago. Also I tried to play indoor football (minifootball) with some guys from Avelgem but my stamina isn’t what it used to be.
Thanks for the interview man. Do you have some last words for our readers?
