Actually that isn't that weird...

It still didnt work though. However it doesn't crash... it just loads a blank black screen and thats it >_>

Kinda of a WTF, but as I never actually mentioned I tried using fairplay (I've been trying to use vanilla soft-mptest)... and it loads with fairplay >_>

but it looks absolutely terrible with fairplay and some things aren't loading correctly...

...aaaand it crashes if I raise the AA level beyond 4xAA with edge detect.

lol the quake3.exe trick was first one i tried when i had this error

all u need is a fairplay excepted opengl32.dll file from the ogl source

I got 2x6970 on CrossFire sof is running perfectly!
I'm using the lastest version 11.4 I think..

I didint read all posts but i had same problem and it was my firewall which was the problem, try to take firewall off and try then.

Could be me, but I think you only need this "atioglxx.dll" file, cause i had the same problem.
I also have CCC 11.3 so...

did you try renaming sof2mp.exe to quake3.exe and see if it works without FP? this seemed to work for some people with various problem..as weird as it sounds

I had the problem of SOF2 Demo not working with Nvidia GT240 Windows XP Pro. Renamed to quake3.exe and it works! (Incidentally, renaming the file to anything else does not fix the problem. Has to be "quake3.exe").

This is of course completely insane and if anyone knows how this works then tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
