moving the whole demo community to full is the way to save the SoF2 and not put it in 3 pieces (demo, full, gold).

1.00 is better than demo... only problem in Full is 3rd person INF, but if the whole communty will move to full, I bet there will be more first person action.

I remember the times when 1.00 wasn't 3rd person h&s... we can bring those good times back.

he's not trying to force anything. why else would doc bother making this topic to check for opinions. We get it rad, ur not open for new things at all and you still live in the year 2002 together with most of haze who also dont bother playin or learning some other maps. didnt expect anything else anyways since ur clan is as good as dead already for over a year. It seems to me he's trying to go ahead no matter how many people are opposed. That's ok, they are both games that have been out for a while and people can choose to play whichever one they want.

Hey junior, do you know that sof2 full has been out also since 2002? People have been able to choose between them for a long time and yet a lot of us still play (and prefer) demo.

I've played different maps and gametypes and I like them, I've played gold version as well. And I'm open to new things, but one of them is not quitting sof2 demo which most of us enjoy just as it is. Why are you bringing up haze, I never mentioned them and I don't see them in this topic.

My main concern is not the movement, it's the whole full community in general, I've seen nothing but shit, people getting banned because they owned some guys in a scrim, the lame ass camping 3RD gameplay who none of us enjoy at all, will the full players adapt to firstperson gameplay? NO.

Will the average demo player play vs 3RD laming faggots? NO.
Camping behind a box with thirdperson doesn't require any skill at all and if you actually want to move our community to full, it would mean the demo clans would still war democlans, cuz like 90% of the full clans play thirdperson or what?


There's way too much conflict here. I like playing full once in a while but I still enjoy playing demo more.

What is it that you dont understand lol? You dont have to play these 3rd laming faggots , play against other demo clans or demo people in server with demo settings. I doubt many full clans would want to war you with demo settings and thats about it

The ones who think it won't work, it's only because community doesn't support it. If the Demobase staff will move there and support the idea 100%, it'll work.
Ladders didn't work because DemoBase wasn't behind it. Someone just created it and that was all. They kept it here for a while, but there was no actual work with it, that's why people became inactive there. You need the main players/clans to move full and it'll work, add some cups and voila. Basically you need to kill demo manually - main clans move to full, no cups, edit forum for full.

I know you'd like that, btw we are playing a cup now with friendly fire on and one m4 per team which was your idea some time ago,
so this community can be really open-minded

Coming from a full firster, personally I'd love to play with demo settings and i'd welcome the move and the teams/players that come with it. Perhaps the demo players will boost the effort to get some map variety up in hereeeee. xx

Sof2 is a dying game. Each game has its best moments, sof2 has had it and ever since its dying. I am a goldplayer from origin, played it ever since 02 and watched how it died, server, after server. I stopped playing gold after the last ND public server had died (gamblerz). Then i moved on to alternatives. I had heard of full a couple of times, even tried it myself but didnt like it. It just wasnt anything like gold! Same goes for demo, it even sucked more than 1.0 for me tbh. But I couldnt stop playing Sof2 either, just because I love the game so much. So I started playing 1.0. In the beginning it really sucked, the 3rd, the falldamage off, the nonades, the hitboxes, it was a real pain in the ass for me. I eventually learned to deal with it, got used to the hitboxes, learned how to stand a chance vs 3rd, ignored the falldamage, and accepted there were not going to be nades i could use (nor the pistol which can be very useful despite what full players think). By this time my whole view had changed. 1.0, which i had disliked for so long, had now actually become my alternative for gold, and i even started liking it! I got to know new people, new gameplay, new styles, kam2 (not very popular on gold). I know changing is hard, but I really hope people from demo will give their efforts to try. In the end if we do not unite all the people still playing any version of Sof2, it will die at a fast rate. I have seen it happen on Gold, and seriously, it had the same activity 2 years ago. Will you guys settle for 2 years left to play this game? I will sure as hell not, thats why were trying our best to unite, and give Sof2 a great life expansion boost. I can tell you guys that friends of mine from gold have said that they will come back, if all players would be united. This is possible, if only everyone wouldnt be as stubborn as they are. The bigger picture here is that this is an effort that tries to help Sof2 in general, not an effort to screw with demo guys. I mean, how bad can it be right? Guys from demo would still be playing the same game, even with the same settings if they want!

I say we give this thing a try, and see where things will go. Stop ignoring the fact that sof2 is dying and help eachother out for once.

its so simple.

demo is dying, theres no way to save it. you can stay on demo because the gameplay is awesome or you can come out of ur little box that you live in and realize there is a whole other sof2 world that you could live in. sure id like to pretend that we can continue playing demo forever but seems like the time has just come to move on. I think the reason people dont want to move to full is obvious "you nerds have never left your house and tried anything different in your whole life" grow some balls, try something new. maybe youll learn to like it.

Yeah that sounds good for all demo to see where they're at just make sure at least 80% of the clans in Check Ur Fire cup sign and if needed and there is let a full team participate too but do this mainly for demo
