I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but whatever. The point of this topic is to see how many people would think that voting for a new moderator would be good right now. And honestly, I think we should have a sort of political process of it. People should be nominated by the community, and then voted on by the staff (or the community itself).
I think because a lot of the cup staff and mods right now are inactive, and yet this community still has enough clans warring daily for a cup. I think we could organize the Nations cup which was supposed to be last month according to the calender.
Anyway, vote with your opinion and post if you'd like. Do you think it's a good idea to for a someone active who could help make cups happen (i miss lumi)?

Well for sure we could use someone to run cups, but frankly there was little motivation to play two previous dncs so it is imo better to do some regular clancup, most players seem to be looking forward to that more.

but like i said, its only making a few topics, the rest is up to the war arrangers, i say any random person should make a cup and ull see people will register regardless, unless you want a lumi type of guy who write essay's

This isn't just for a cup maker type of position. What I mean by new moderator is a new mod that has the power to moderate the trolling, flaming, and also participate in cup involvements and other demobase politics. I just think a member of the current community should be appointed because honestly most of the mods/admins are older members who are mostly inactive. Pretty much all of them.
I believe nominations should take place in this thread, and the admins can ask that person if they are actually willing to take on the responsibility of doing said responsibilities, then if they accept, we can vote or the admins can vote.
I can see the lack of motivation to do nations cup because of the last two cups. A regular clancup would be nice. But I think Demobase should host something simply because this is Demobase. And those cups always seemed important enough for people to play.

no nations cup, not enough active players for each nation to participate imo. belg, nl, est, NA might be the only ones with enough members and im not even sure about est
