every player has the ability to test the maps before signing up, i took my time to select the xmas maps and it seemed these ones were the best, i also asked around for opinions before making the final decision... i'm not removing it.

though i wonder what was up with the lag? did everyone lag on it? cause i didn't

Its about the fps, Alot of sof players got ''shitty'' pc's/laptops so its hard for them to play on a huge map like that (because on shop they got 100 fps but in that map 25). + some lag spike's?

Don't think it comes down to shitty pc's. When I play CSS on default settings (haven't corked it down to like black and white pixels only) with ~20 players on DM I never get any significant FPS lag or anything, nor did it happen on other maps (might have been some little lag from the server but not that noticeable).

Might just be sof being crappily optimized itself or just that map. As I understood everyone had warps/lag the last map?
