Thanks to all the teams who participated in the group phase and played matches. There were lots of complications with the group phase which made it kinda useless in our results, but regardless, the seeding for the playoffs will still be based off of matches and points won, and we will follow the outline that was mentioned before:
1st Place of Group A plays 2nd Place of Group D
2nd Place of Group A plays 1st Place of Group D
2nd Place of Group B plays 1st Place of Group C
1st Place of Group B plays 2nd Place of Group C
The conflicts that arose with the group phase resulted in some disqualifications. In Group A, |NoDe| has disbanded recently and it is presumed that they will no longer participate in the cup due to inactivity. In Group B, FiSH played with unregistered players after being told that they cannot add those players due to it being a break of the cup's first rule. After speaking with the leader, the team decided they can not play without the unregistered players and have forfeited from the cup. We will still continue with the remaining 8 teams.
*Important Rule*
We are going to do something different with this cup in our playoff stage to spice things up a bit. In the spirit of the Champion's League, each team will play their opponent twice and the final score will be the sum of the score from the two matches. In other words, we play with aggregates. This will add a bit of pressure on each team to play each round with better chemistry since every round will count.
