that was what hokie originally told me.. maybe he was just hedging his bets to make it easier to kick you if you ended up not doing well..  Or because he didn't want me using you in a weak lineup and losing when he wasn't online.... it was probably mostly that, he had strict rules about that, and we had an understanding what the slight difference between a weak line and a strong lineup was... $nugg or priest or Xillax or some quiet owner/passive leader type like that had to be there, but we also needed enough of a strong core with good communication that the rest could fill around that... so if there was enough firepower on the team, me + yoshi could lead a team with a decent foundation together, would never quite replicate hokie's prescence, but we'd been around him for thousands of wars, we knew how the show was supposed to go, we could sometimes do an adequate job recreating that positive team energy if the rest of the team had also played enough with hokie...

 

but me + yoshi alone, w/ a quiet Vari & a basically silent Freestyle, with no $nugg, didn't have enough leadership, if the 5th was deo volente... it wouldn't work.  Not vs. the best.  If the 5th was st4ff though, me and jared would happily take that war even vs. c4, and just play more of the hokie role, sacrificing ourselves on crazy rushes so taavi + sami + vari could feast.  We'd just know we had to speak up more, coach the rest of the round after being the first one to go down. 

 

other things like compatible teamwork + strong pairs also mattered, if we had $nugg + priest or $nugg & sika together, that was worth more than adding sika in any other lineup.  P@nda + master also were very unique.   

 

ph4ze, broken, dio, priest = all players you could add that wouldn't contribute much vocally but would 100% make the team stronger, they were great independent  players who were fantastic at listening.  Also we needed to make sure we had 3 strong enough case players to make it work, or don't sign up for the war.  There was a lot that went into the decision making behind the scenes.  

 

But Warren you definitely ended up being one of his favorites... he didn't really know you at first, thought you were kinda noob, but he ended up loving you like sika... saw you as really important to the overall chemistry of the team, and we got noobroom soon after, so it definitely wasn't about the server after the first week

 

I'm curious tho warren, who did you play with most often in 3v?  What would our 5 look like

Hey guys, maybe a few of you still remember me (from DEMO). It's been a long time. Are you guys still playing demo/gold? If so, does anyone have a link for me to download the file (that does not crash like the regular download).
