I thought inflixi was up there, should be added since we started as a bunch of nonames who took the better half of ShiftTM(shiftgaming server was sick, used to be 30 people in it all the time along with distort and what the one other besides the great milenko? The Zoo and Notag came later but what was the other popular one out at the time of distort?)

Anyway inflixi lineup was Shifty, Talon, Tommy D, Exe, Worship, MuSh, Stunna, Kj, Freestyle, Zioni

and haha i just saw Cold Rush's site, they might have been the biggest hacker clan in history. Mgod, windaxx, stylsz, Mikko,Sub-Zero. According to their site they only lost one war haha

in their first war the slapped [B] Priest, Dream, Angel, Dot, ReXeL 10-4 both sides, yeah totally clean.

before i start to write a wall of text i gotta stick to the facts and keep it short. epecially because there is a lot to discuss about, for example leaderskills.
skoko is a good leader because he keeps peace among the players, which mostly results in good times. ofc its easier to keep it that way when the warresults are well and the players are loyal. its all just a mix of things and therefore not easy to point out the most important things. its gotta be smooth and well organised. the only variable in a clan is people, which results in a lot of ego's with huge attention needs. ive got a bit of an ego aswell, so i know what im talking about. a leader, in this case skoko, has to be capable to give me the feeling im needed and a good player to play with. in my honest opinion thats even a more important part of leadership at sof2 than telling the right tactics before the war starts. dealing with ego's and handling the peace is the most important part of a good-doing clan.

the point some of you mentioned about improving players isnt how i look at it. obv leaders and the more experienced players are able to give a few tips and tricks, but the start is to train a lot. here, sof2, you should play a lot of TDM and 1on1/2on2's, which result in a better aim. 5on5 is way more tactical, at sof2, so its easier to start learning on TDM and 1on1/2on2's. you NEED to play a lot with clans to get better at the tactical stuff, so you could finally master to play well in a 5on5 war.
this is why mixwars are, in my opinion, important to all kind of players. mainly, there are ''noobs'' around who approach this game on a very different way, which is sometimes hard to play against. this will make your gameplay even better, because you learn to think on different ways. all this kind of things have shown me you gotta be dedicated to this game to become a good player, instead of some leader telling you what and what not to do.

the stories about hokie are well written and nice to read and ofc its not my job to take the stories down, but i think you guys exaggerated it too much. same way i underrate the role of a leader too much. i think its somewhere in the middle of our thoughts.

the game has got too predictable, like they say about me aswell. stuff like going cargo all the time or taking the full 3 minutes during a round are just two exmaples outta my bucket. RPM did a good job by ''changing'' the game a bit, but thats irrelevant to this topic. all i want to say is the fact this game is predicatable, so the role of a leader is small. thats why individual skill is the most important and if you are dedicated enough to train yourself, you got a big chance to shine.

conclusion about leadership: a leader needs to feed his players so they keep motivated to play, thats the most important part.

btw: i like the way exe talks about his old clan/clanmembers because he would never backstab them here and is fully focussed on his OWN clan and OWN mates.

Well if you started playing a year ago, i cant help you, but swat is playing since 2005 bro

my sof'career' started when i played the game with my nephew in 2004/5, i totally sucked and aimed more at ceilings then at players. Then my brother downloaded the game and half year later i also started playing it. played with stupid name "headshot tdm" and i remember that my first "inf" experience was at a caserun server which closed suddenly. Was in clan called Sfl or smtng. But my brother had discovered the sniper so i tried it too and joined =SMuRF= for lil while but then i played ak again with name aRes i think and i joined SWAT under the leadeship of legend and my good friend kevz, he learned me how to play inf which was complicated in the start. Then sonny asked me to join | Bs*. This was my greatest time at sof cuz guys like "sonny/veritas, mani, divine,butcher,aequitas,aardbei and many more made it fun. We had many fun times on ts. But sonny, divine, pato,silent scream got bored of demo and moved gold mostly and i (was ldr back then) was also less active so it died. Then i joined #tS. for a short period, but the clan went on summerbreak and died short after that. From then i was cless and didnt had much fun @demo anymore so i decided to play gold. Now i play my publics at gold at gameserver 2 demolition where i found my joy back in the game. So im trying to make a team now fzth at demo and see how that works out.
Forgot prolly many things but dont have much time ill edit rest.
edit: ow after tS i joined nwo and played wars with my brother for them but wasnt fun anymore sniper so i quited that too.
