Morning Demobase,
Such a turn of events could have been predicted, but again I was blind to thinking people on Demobase actually like to participate in cups. Perhaps this is a dying sport after all.
Regardless, here is the situation of the Dream Team cup. Considering a lot of people have gone inactive even though they registered (and ignored my disclaimers asking them not to register if they know they are going to go out of town for the last 4 weeks + 2-3 more weeks ahead of us). But I digress... If no matches are played by September 30, this cup will cease to exist
Why Sept 30? Because maybe a different cup will get more people involved (Teams seem to be the hottest thing nowadays, then clans, then nations). Also because I'm kinda tired of caring about this community's dying sense of competition. It could be much more than it is, but lack of effort no doubt in part of this being a 10+ year old demo that we are playing, it's starting to take its toll.
TL;DR (For the people who probably can't understand English): Cup ends September 30th whether finished or not.

The point of captains in a draft cup was not so you can depend on them to arrange your wars for you. Captains had only one privilege over everyone else, and that is all (They got to pick their teams). But that does not mean you NEED them to play your matches.
The underlying story of this cup is that everybody on this site talks a big game. They all say, "OMG WE WANT MORE CUPS, competition is good, prizes, cups, galore!" then the cups are made and maybe even prizes are discussed and then the teams are made and everyone registers in a record setting 1 day and omg I can't believe I got 67 registered players on a 10+ year old demo in 2 days and then 4 weeks later nobody wants to play a cupwar.
Welcome to Demobase. Home of the whiny cunts and the pussies and 2 week old clans and HtFs that die forever and come back more than three times.

This is what I had noticed. I guess i am the only 1 who even plays this game regularly (meaning our cupteam), maybe masi sometimes?
I guess i had seen you once in a past month.
I'd like to play more wars on SOF but it's hard to keep activity there cuz my clan is inactive and no teams are not interested of recruiting. At least what I have seen =)
Im ready to play cupwar(s) almost every evening tho

Dunno why you decided to vote yes and register as a captain then. Must be pretty dumb to ask the community prior to making a cup in the summer whether or not they want to or not. They all said yes.
