Following on from the Java hack on DB two months ago, there is another big exploit that affects the latest version and lets hackers run anything on your computer just from you visiting a page. The best suggestion to protect yourself is to uninstall java or disable it in your browser.

If you use IE follow these instructions because the ones on that page are useless:
Tools > Manage addons > Show "All addons" in dropdown box > Disable anything with java in it/anything from oracle inc

If you need Java, you should surf the net using a browser with it disabled and then have an alternate browser for the safe sites that require it (runescape etc).

I don't but it's still on my pc..
I disabled all java plugins now and pc stalls more than once in a minute for like 5 seconds.
I only use firefox.

You don't necessarily have to disable it on IE if you never use it, no way to get infected that way.
just be careful about java related shit if you play/use it, i.e if you play runescape you should be careful about phishin links and such im sure theyd include java driveby atm with current exploit. but if you really never use java you should be quite safe. just disable it on ur main browser and use java, if you need, on another browser

Oh ok, nah i don't play runescape, thats like 2 years ago so no way
Anyways, ran 2 virus checks but didn't find anything yet.
