The discussion starts again, you really think the wizards can become 8th seed? i hope it for them and for wall but i think they miss a few key players. im a lakers fan, and heat hater so im hoping they wont repeat themselves, if the lakers wont win it, im gunning for okc! Also hoping Timberwolves and sixers will do good! Sixers got a good team and seeing how they perform in the preseason now, im happy! also liking the nuggets iggy and the manimall gonna be sick

I'm a wizards fan at heart since that's been my home team for over 10 years, and I think the wiz might make the 8th seed this year.

lol Homer, it's possible in the East though, but I wouldn't bet they gonna be in top10

And I honestly only made this post for doctorfunk's opinion on his playoff picks prior to the season's beginning. But all opinions are welcome.

People are saying the sixers will be good in the east, but I don't think they'll make the playoffs. Everyone says Bynum is good, but I disagree. I think he sucks as a baller, has terrible post moves, and is just a big guy who can get boards.

Bynum isn't a finese player but Imo he has a v.good post game, he is very hard to stop. Offensively he is comparable to Howard. He has good hands, footwork and almost never brings the ball down so it's hard to take it away from him.

hard to say who will make finals this year but MIA BOS OKC LAL SAS all look pretty good

I'd love to see Celtics win, they have a very strong team this year and even last year they took Heat to 7. But OKC/MIA are younger so it's gonna be probably between them

Brooklyn has a nice team, they should be in the top4

The celtics this year suck lol, no idea why they gave garnett that big extension, big waiste of money, sure terry rondo are nice but pierce is over the hill, they should be happy to make the playoffs this year on experience

lol button I see you haven't watched any Celtics games last season

1. Celtics didn't have money to sign anyone else, they could resign KG for that money because they had bird rights
if they signed anyone else they wouldn't have any money left to sign for example Jason Terry.

2. Any big of KG caliber gets around 11-15m per yer now, that's the reality on center position
90% of centers who earn 11m are worse players than Garnett.

Garnett plays 5 now and he is very very good at that, he is still a v.good pnr defender, one of the best team defenders in the game and he can challenge shots. You get Garnett now for 11m per yer- you get McGee for 11m as well... Only thing McGee can do better is block shots. KG is far better player.

3. Celtics will have easily HCA this year, IMO they will be no2/no3 in the east. I can bet anything that they WILL make playoffs.

I did watch their games, and even then i could see them declining, garnett isnt a bad player, but they gave him this three year for 11m a year, hes just now worth that, you will have a 39 yr old making 20minutes a game scoring maybe 10 ppg? and getting 6rpg ? making 11m ? tbh thats just a bad use of ur money, and there werent that much options i know, but dont think this is a good solution.

im putting them at 6th seed this season in the east

Doesn't matter if he plays like crap then, Boston just extended their window by 2 maybe 3years

Boston had to sign KB because of the money rules in the NBA, if he didn't resign Boston would be in deep shit. His contract would count against their cap- or smth like that. In a nutshell they would NOT be able to sign Bass and Green. Having them back is huge for BOS.

Doesn't matter that Pierce and KG are declining, they are still way over average player.
Bradley is an elite defender and improving offensive player
Green, Bass are very good role players - and Green didn't even play last year
Lee is way better than Pietrus
Terry > Allen
Barbosa > Dooling
Wilcox plays v.good with Rondo - and he was out for the playoffs

I do like bradley green bass and barbosa, but i didnt know barbosa signed with the celtics, just heard rumours about him maybe signing with the lakers oh well. all these cap rules and stuff im not to familiar with them, so if they had to sign him etc ec for sighing green and bass they did a good job, i will take back what i said and say goodjob on resigning KG

There's no way in hell Wizards make the post season. Wall lacks the true court vision to make the players around him better à la CP3/Nash. Yea sure Wall is a physical beast but his jumper, decision making and passing left a lot to be desired. Rest of the team is garbage so they won't be even close to making the play-offs. Speaking of Nash, I really hope Lakers can win it all this year but with their current bench that's just impossible. If they can get some depth to their bench they might be able to challenge OKC in West. Unfortunately LeBron is too much of a beast and Heat will be celebrating at the end of this season aswell.

ill read it thanks doc, and for the lakers i hope they sign johnny flynn and terrance williams i think both of them can be good pickups for the bench. i saw the heat play this week, it scared me, and im not talking bout lebron cause every1 knows he can ball, but the bench and surrounding players playing really good
