Hey I'm looking for a big monitor that would be suitable for games and music
Anyone can suggest a best price/quality item?
I found IIYAMA X2775HDS-B1 (27inch, 16:9) for around 210euro- anyone used it?

TN will suck for movies- or so I was told
In movie mode I will sit my ass on the couch(lower than the screen) 2,5-3m away from it so
the color on TN from angles is supposed to be crap, or there is something about TN i don't know

i would rather consider a bit washed out colours from some angles than a delay in games tbh. So what if the viewing angle is not as good as IPS or VA panels, i dont even think that most ppl calibrate their monitors so what would be the problem if the colour is off anyway lol.

same price for this one, but it's on different panel, TN instead of VA so the delay is 1ms, seems decent
not sure what I want yet bad color or delay :P
Have you used any new VA/IPS monitors and was bothered by delay Spacer?

edit;
another option, VA but faster response time; also budget friendly ;p

I got the 24inch model of that iiyama, works fine and does the job perfectly.
Delays are really low and these monitors are suitable for gaming, watching movies is no problem offcourse.

Good bang for bucks

having in mind what you said SPACER I have found this beauty; BenQ GW2750
http://pcmonitors.in...s/benq-gw2750hm
it's seems to have very low la for VA panel and yet contrast&stuff is way better than in TN/IPS, anyone has it?
it costs 200euro so I guess it's more fitting to say it's bad at everything than good at everything :P, but it seems like a compromise.

Refresh rate: 60Hz

try a 120hz screen and u never want to play any games with 60/75hz again

e: not so sure if there are many 25-27inch screens capable of doin 120, most of them are 20-24

almost all 120hz are TN panels- and they have worse colors/contrast than ips and va panels that's the problem, there's always a trade off

btw what monitor do u have fleim?

well thats where u have to make ur choice, do u want good colors or general smoothness :) the amount of hz plays bigger role in fps games so if u dont play them alot, an ips screen is probably not a bad pick.

ive got a viewsonic vx2268wm, bought this about a year ago. tried 120hz for the first time with my friends screen and had to buy one instantly :D

looks legit what the hell is 3d gaming? does it work with sof2 :D :D :D ?, optimal situation would be probably just to buy a TV and Monitor for office/gaming, maybe that's an option I should pick up but then it would mean 2x more money to be spent or more.

These are the only three 27 inch 120Hz monitors on the market now I think:

http://www.newegg.co...2^24-001-472-TS

You would probably be better off saving money and buying a smaller 23inch monitor with 120hz for gaming and a larger one for movies; the 120hz monitors at 27in are very expensive.

Yea I will probably just buy larger with less hz one for now. My other hobbies are taking more time than gaming lately so 120hz is not a must for me. It'd be nice, but I think I'd rather save the difference and buy good trekking shoes for my next trip :D

I'd look into those inexpensive Korean displays such as this one if you're going for 27 inches
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f1a1ea764
or this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271020966562

27 inches, 2560x1440, S-IPS = beats any of the displays mentioned above.

When I replaced my TN display with an IPS display, I didn't notice any difference in response time. Instead I got better colors and viewing angles. With most TN panels, even if you look at the display from a straight angle, you can see some color shifting when you compare the lower or upper edge of the display to the center. What I'm trying to say is that don't get a 60Hz TN display unless you're on a near zero budget.

i woulndn't buy a monitor i can't service in my country, if it breaks down i'm in deep
sending it back for repairs would be costly and time consuming

since u cant buy 27in 2560x1440 ips here,
I will most likely go for fast responding VA(no ghosting, or only very slight ghosting), it is also subject to colour shifting- but less than TNs, it has best contrast by far.

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as fast responding VA.

new VAs often have responding times in the same range as IPSes, so both worse than TN but barely noticable
they have worse viewing angles than IPSes though

for example that BenQ 2750hm has a low input lag
probably it is not as 'fast' as in fast :P but fast enough

Btw Jesa what brand/model of IPS you have?
