My mouse is on it's deathbed. My trusted Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical is disconnecting every other minute and I know it's not gonna last much longer. I've gone through three of these in the past 10 years and since I first got one I've never wanted any other mouse. Unfortunately, they don't make or sell these anymore..

I'm curious to hear what other sof players' experiences with (gaming) mice are and if you can maybe recommend a suitable new mouse for me. I've done some googling and the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer seems similar in shape, but the Steelseries Kinzo v2 PRO looks good and seems really popular among FPS gamers too.

Based on stories I've read about the build quality of cheaper Razer mice I'm reluctant to get one of those. Also, the ever so popular Logitech G5 and its lookalikes are too big and weird-shaped for my liking.

talking from own experience lol, the only thing that satisfied me a little was kinzu, but the buttons on the kinzu are fucking gay, they're hard to press

get a deathadder/copperhead if there are still any new ones in the online sale
copperhead was the best mouse for me, though I think deathadder was more durable
they should be cheap now if they are any new left

I got deathadder but nothing special about it. Old microsoft ones are still the best I think..just ''standard'' ones.

I traded my Razer Death Adder for one of those Microsoft Optical mice. So worth it.

I wouldn't advice you razer's brand. I got once one and it didn't last a year. I think a good mouse is a mouse with some costumizables keys on the side of the mouse. I got 2 costumizables keys and those are very usefull for gaming or just surfing on the net. Don't trust these brand 'made by gamerz for gamerz" brand like razer. Those are just toys in my opinion. My logitech mx smtg still run like a charm after 10 years or so. So for me it would be logitech and not razor.

I roll on steelseries kinzu v2 for 1,2 years now, and it still looks and feels brand new + best mouse i ever had. Also like the texture of the cable. Steelseries also had good mousepads & headsets (steelseries QcK+ mousepad & siberia v2 headset ftw)

since the most obvious successor to my WMO, the intellimouse optical 1.1, is a discontinued product as well i've narrowed down my options to the steelseries kana or kinzu v2 (pro)

i made my decision. i'm ordering for the kinzu v2 rather than the PRO edition as the v2's click is similar to my old WMO. the PRO version has a sensitive click that i think i´ll dislike

azzy, if u ever come across any WMO, stock up!
