I fail to see the point. If you'd understand the burden-of-proof, there would be no need for discussion. Also, there is no point in (mis)using scientific principles whilst discussing something so unscientific by nature.

Monotheistic religions do exactly the same, try to explain the unexplainable (that's like no1 job of any religion, no?)
and MANY polytheistic also justified the power the rulers had over peasants like for example religion in ancient Egypt,
they were used by authorities to get things done and normalize social relations. Religion kept people in check so they didn't eat each other

it seems was once world of islam more 'science friendly', they are still many reasonable

If someone really cares, they will find from what religion they will get the most from. Why do you shave your heads and keep your beards? That is the most unexplainable thing I have ever seen in my whole life mister. Covering a womans face? God gave you hair. Why you cutting it off? He gave you hair, why u gonna go and remove what He gave you? God gave you a body. He gave you a face. He gave everybody in this world a different body and different features (obviously this can be debating through science, genetics etc). Why u gonna go and cover your face and hair? You need to pray 5 times a day? Why is there a set number like that? Mister you should pray as much as you possibly can. Is 5 some magic number? I really believe in sikhism tbh, but I have never tried to even tell someone you should convert, read guru granth sahib et cetera. It even says that you don't need to ask people to convert, they will do it themselves if they choose to do so. Sikhism is obviously the youngest religion. Came to be around the 1600's and imo, I think being a much newer religion, it has an advantage. People and the brain was much more developed at this time and it is seen in the writing. Most people don't even know what sikhism is. I wish I was more knowledgeable about my own religion, but im not. I do my prayers whenever I have time but I don't understand it at all. They got books that have translated it into English. ok bye

seems not only religious people need an excuse
I doubt people turn to God because they need an excuse, they just believe there is a higher meaning for some reason
but they have it easier facing old age and death- that's for sure

In short, yes, meaning of life is to stick it in females you find attractive and reproduce. And survive.

But that put aside, life is what YOU make it out to be for yourself. Next to my basic needs (food, water, sex, oxygen, whatevers) I find it important to have fun with friends/family and to do what you really like in life instead of letting social borders hold you back or having someone dictate what you have to do. I also find faith important, so I don't have problem with religions, but I don't want to be defined by anything other than myself - so I believe in me. I also believe that being in the present is important, that's why I am not religious because in my opinion it contributes to unnecessary fear of the future(Do I go to heaven? Do I go to hell?) but for me, future does not exist in a sense that it hasn't happened yet, so why worry about it? People who are afraid of something that does not exist are labelled as crazy in todays society, right? Don't be crazy, live in the present.

Yes, they have it easier and I have a theory why:
Because they have accepted death as natural part of life already and dedicate their whole life doing the right thing to pass away to heaven. God knows why(lol), but they sincerely believe that whatever they do is something they WANT to do and thus, by the end they have been doing their whole life something they wanted to do - serve God. Now read the first part of my post and I brought up doing what you truly believe in and this is what I believe in, but you don't have to be religious for that. You can if you want. Non-religious people have way harder time doing what they truly want to be honest, atleast christians/jews/muslims/etc have gods and allahs and what not checking them out so they actually do it, rest of us keep looking for reasons over and over to not do whatever we truly like and stay in our comfort zone.

I'm going to assume you think the big bang means: Nothing -> Explosing -> Something and claim that this cannot be true. However, most large religions claim exactly the same thing: Nothing -> God -> Something.

These statements are both equally wrong because if you believe that indeed you can't create something out of nothing.

There are two things this can imply:

1. The statement that you can't create something out of nothing is wrong. This would render both theories possible.

2. There never has been nothing.
