I cant understand what you mean anymore.. "putting notes in the right place" "having skills in beats"
To make a beat you should know how youre program works a little and you should have a idea.
whats there not to understand... u remake the beat so all u have to do is put the right notes in the right places
and ur done.. and the drums ofcourse wich is as easy as owning you in a 1on1
if you have an idea you should make ur own shit, not use someone elses...
no examples? lol, i rest my caseI dont know where to give examples.. I do know that remaking beats is a great way to learn and flip a new style. Also this guy is doing much better in making beats then you are, also much more motivated so isnt your answer already there? Yes it is.. next time you are clicking the sof2mp.exe click the cubase.exe or fl.exe w/e you using and try to remake something
You will see there's also alot to learn there

I'm just trying to help and improve everyone keeping themselves good with music. If you cant get the point that remaking beats or any kind of music is good for your POV on music and to expand it that is your problem.. but dont say its not true..
I'm busy with rock/reggea/pop/r&b/hiphop and i have to say it made my POV on my beats much bigger. Now if its just a simple remake its a start. So you could say like, "yeah good remake, next thing you could remix it" aslong if you are busy with music.
And i cant follow you indeed.. You are talking about filling notes and colouring lines with skills. Now it could be me but i dont make beats like that anymore since i was 13 years old thus my starting years in beatcreation and sounddesign.
I still wish you all the luck in music. But "i own people" "i play 24/7 video games" "i aint open for anything ellse in music but myself" i dont think you got much of a change.

Quick edit:
Drums aren't easy. Infact the drums are the most important in a beat. The drums should match. Also each drum should have their own groove. Also mastering of the drums is very important and knowing the high's and low's of the drum as well so you can have a good final mix.
Now i aint no professional in a long run yet and there is much for me to learn.. But things you say about making beats is wack and imo you're beats i heard are far from the real thing yet

Mrlowaimer.. i checked your beat out, not a bad remake, had a feeling the drums werent 100% alright. I do think that it sounds dry, and it could use a little EQ'ing and mastering.. Nice pick on the 808 drums as well.
Here i have a chart a friend sended me and its pretty usefull when you dont know how to EQ on your best.
It would be cool if you EQ this shit and upload it again so i can check it out.
the equalizer is to be found in any mixer on any kind of software, here's the chart.
FREQUENCY: USES:
50Hz
1. Increase to add more fullness to lowest frequency instruments like foot, floor tom, and the bass.
2. Reduce to decrease the "boom" of the bass and will increase overtones and the recognition of bass line in the mix. This is most often used on loud bass lines like rock.
100Hz
1. Increase to add a harder bass sound to lowest frequency instruments.
2. Increase to add fullness to guitars, snare.
3. Increase to add warmth to piano and horns.
4. Reduce to remove boom on guitars & increase clarity.
200Hz
1. Increase to add fullness to vocals.
2. Increase to add fullness to snare and guitar ( harder sound ).
3. Reduce to decrease muddiness of vocals or mid-range instruments.
4. Reduce to decrease gong sound of cymbals.
400Hz
1. Increase to add clarity to bass lines especially when speakers are at low volume.
2. Reduce to decrease "cardboard" sound of lower drums (foot and toms).
3. Reduce to decrease ambiance on cymbals.
800Hz
1. Increase for clarity and "punch" of bass.
2. Reduce to remove "cheap" sound of guitars.
1.5KHz
1. Increase for "clarity" and "pluck" of bass.
2. Reduce to remove dullness of guitars.
3KHz
1. Increase for more "pluck" of bass.
2. Increase for more attack of electric / acoustic guitar.
3. Increase for more attack on low piano parts.
4. Increase for more clarity / hardness on voice.
5. Reduce to increase breathy, soft sound on background vocals.
6. Reduce to disguise out-of-tune vocals / guitars.
5KHz
1. Increase for vocal presence.
2. Increase low frequency drum attack ( foot / toms).
3. Increase for more "finger sound" on bass.
4. Increase attack of piano, acoustic guitar and brightness on guitars (especially rock guitars).
5. Reduce to make background parts more distant.
6. Reduce to soften "thin" guitar.
7KHz
1. Increase to add attack on low frequency drums ( more metallic sound ).
2. Increase to add attack to percussion instruments.
3. Increase on dull singer.
4. Increase for more "finger sound" on acoustic bass.
5. Reduce to decrease "s" sound on singers.
6. Increase to add sharpness to synthesizers, rock guitars, acoustic guitar and piano.
10KHz
1. Increase to brighten vocals.
2. Increase for "light brightness" in acoustic guitar and piano.
3. Increase for hardness on cymbals.
4. Reduce to decrease "s" sound on singers.
15KHz
1. Increase to brighten vocals (breath sound).
2. Increase to brighten cymbals, string instruments and flutes.
3. Increase to make sampled synthesizer sound more real
Things i would personally boost up;
a little, very little reverb on the clap, to make it sounds deeper into the melody
the kick should be deeper as well, EQ the low frequency's or add bass/distortion
hihat should be done higher, EQ it on the high frequency's
the strings are to dry man, do something with it, fuck around with the strings with ffx
i should speed up the hihats in second part
add a little delay on the chorus (on those beeps)
Theres my feedback
