Hey all, Well some of you know me, but who doesn't my name is nick a 1ster from sof2 silver(full) and I'm from Israel.

I would like to propose an idea:

Lets create a sof2 gold section.

Last week i thought to my self why did sof2 gold failed? i remember it was a lot of fun, fast games, pure aim shots good people, but the suddenly good servers started to die
and the community dwindled.
Thats why i decided to try and install the game, oh i wish i didn't...
For the coders out there i'm sure its a piece of cake, but for me and i'm sure it is for most of us out there, it is a nightmare like it was for me.
I found the games patch i found the full download, the Punkbuster files(like fairplay) and thought, great i can play now, however its more to it then that.
You need to download updated checker of PB, which i think its most important, find the commands to turn it off, the files from some unknown site so that the server wouldn't kick me every two minutes, then after some more updates i manages to get it working.

i know from past experience from people who tried to install this game they quited half way though.

now the game runs good but only on OSP server(like rpm but on gold) the roc mode(a different rpm) is just some more files to download and they mostly kids and rd server.

Now. i want to ask you admins, How about making an sof2 gold section as well? we need to try to make gold work also, its a cool and an exciting game which just need some guidance.

I talked to some gold players and they agree that no one has a forum or something substantial that can help people join the game.
Some also suggested to help with the explanations to how to install and all...
Would like to hear a positive answer

got the error "error(in red) an error occured, check error.txt for details " no error txt found in sof2 directory + downloaded manually the last update.

any ideas?

and i think its a port problem.
when im doing ping or tracert to any of your sof2 servers i get an perfect ping 70-80 however when im pinging with the port to any of the servers i get a ping of 1400++
i tried to talk with my provider and they dont block any ports, nor did my router, the only this is to see if the 2k3 main server doesnt make my connection suck.

Ill be happy for a fast reply.

this is what i wrote on 2k3 server question sector, and would like to think what do u think about this.

checked the whole thing, firewall router, untivirus, provider, just name i checked it...

any thoughts?

Well, the title says it all...
im using the same sof2 with the same configuration that i have for the past 6 years...
however if someone tell me the ip i can connect for the consul...

any ideas?

i got a problem, sometimes i cant find servers on search list only when i connect directly.

any idea why?
