what windows 7 version you have . the x64 or the x86 ? 32-64 bit `?
i once had that problem to because i used a 64bit version. and somehow 32 bit worked fine after installing it :)

yooo the problem lies in windows 7. if you install your sof2 it makes an error while installing. thats just something windows 7 does.
download the demo version @ : http://caserun.com/games/ this one will unpack and not Install. and im pretty sure it will work afterwards :)
